3 adams ton of plays inside and out against starters and backups

hh  Evan’s 56 yard punt. Boy what a leg that kid has

honourable mentions to Jonathon jones pointer person Ayers and Sergio. On the ol Wallace was good, vanterpool and Randolph looked really good

post of the game is piggy 1 who hooked us up yet he working link which was more than the cfl or tsn could muster for almost a half.

Tough. Cuz I’d put Zach 1. He looked great but I’ll not count him.

1. Cooley. He’s just a cfl star in the making.
2. Streveler. He looked good as an actual QB. Was nice to see.
3. Artopoeous. Looked better than Wilson really.

HH’s to Evans. Adams. Jaylen Hall. Vaval and Allen. Also thought Pointor looked good against 4th stringers.

QBs looked a lot better than PS last year. Satisfied with their performance in general. Be nice to see some TDs on Friday.

On post game show DT askes Mos whats next for this week. Mos is like, we will get the pads on them and do 2 a days couple times make them pop each other. Doug brown gets all excited and Mos says he's joking lol. Can get away with that any more.

First off, **** the Riders and their ignorant redneck fans.

Second, Osh says won't be a problem to keep an American RB like Cooley. That's helpful.

Third, my goodness I love the CFL and am so excited to listen to a game again. Will watch the CFL+ replay tomorrow.

Summer is here... Very excited for what I think is going to be a very good Bombers D. Hoping the O can be at least "decent" and we'll be a real "tough out" in 2025...

cause thats how we used to do it!!!...lol...i got excited too!!

Not necessarily 3 stars...but observatyions

All QB's looked way more ready and prepared....and the more reps Strev gets as a actual QB the better he will get...we in good hands with our top 3 there

Cooley stood out...give him some reps with the #1's and against #1's but there is definitely something there...if he cant get on active roster immediately has to be on the PR

If Adams doesn't get 70%+ reps this yr something is wrong...Him and Woods in middle is ideal with majority of reps.....O'm sure he worked all off-season on his CFL legs and will not hit a wall this yr...Pointer looked active...PR possibility

Schmeck and Thomas both showed what we all know...zippo....and if Lawson isnt good to go sadly one of them will be rostered....2 tho....no need and just.....why????

Bailey and Person I think make up rotation on the ends....you can see with Person there is something there....for first Canadian action ever he didnt look out of place at all...and is versatile and fast...

J..Jones and Ayers showed they should be the MLB and WIL....Does that happen...and of Wilson and T.Jones who gets the DA?

Eli is a better center than Eli is a guard...but he did okay there...Eli is a better center than Kolo and was evident in line play when each one anchored center....but how will it shale out...Kolo is not an ideal 6th as if he has to come in for anythong but center its 2..3 moves to fill one....and Wallace showed he can be ideal looking fine at RT and we know he can play guard....and carrying 7 oline guys is just overkill when you can put any big body in when they actually use 7

Cam Allen looks to be a stud in making...Him at safety....Parker at corner as he is versatile and can play all 5 defensive back spots...Vaval or Gowan as the DA??...

Evans showed us what a punter is...and has a leg...and allows coverage to get down field before the returner has had ball and already ate up 15 yards before they even down field...of he kiclks like that again next game he deserves the season opener

crap...had to edit...I forgot about Griffin too!!...he definately will get lotsa reps...we have some talent on defence

Haha right?

im all for modernizing football and helping protect guys health. I think practice and tc has gone too soft. I think it’s actually a detriment now. Guys are trying so hard to make teams with limited contact it’s like flag football injuries on ligaments and soft tissues.

I was especially surprised with the QBs prep level considering Jackson hasn’t been in town. Props to hogan.

cooley was an instant favorite. Zach said he was his pick to have a big game too. Gotta reward that.

yeah adams looks like he’s turning the corner which is huge.

man I want Lawson healthy. Him with woods and adams would be incredible. I’d rather flip ratio else where for sure.

I was surprised how good person was in the run game. We know he’s a pass rush specialist so if he can get that going with what we saw he’s gonna be special.
I like Bailey’s play on teams and contain on D. Would be a big upgrade for our dl depth.

Atkinson and viebert both looked better than kola. Yeah Eli just isn’t a guard. But boy he had the 2nd team on cooking. Great pockets for strevy.

Allen and Gowan look like front runners. Gonna be hard to keep them off the ar.

wouldn’t normally expect Evan’s would be the 24 year old rookie.dude is a stud

That's because we have Thomas and Schmekel plus the Brit off the edge.

We have a good bit of ni flexibility. I don’t think we have to be married to a di kr either.

Just now, Booch said:

Substitute Shay and Smith for Schmeck and Schmuck and we cooking

Plus vaval and Kelly. Tons of Canadian depth on d.

Yeah...more injuries in camp now than when 2 a days..it's stupid

Person did a lot of work as a linebacker type in college as well as edge rusher...I did some digging around on him with some peeps I know as I was shocked we signed him...the NFL teams he had cups of coffee with wanted to make him a pure pass rush specialist and size up..he balked...so up he came...he if gets the opportunity is gonna be real good...

Vaval is Canadian? Even better if we use him as a KR and depth DB

Beautiful day at the stadium.

Chase A looked cool and calm. Pocket presence that Terry W just doesn't have. Can run the ball effectively. Kind of reminded me of Dru B. Maybe a bit faster but a weaker arm.

Have to agree that Jonathan J and Michael A are the guys that popped at the LB position. Ayers looked physically elite on some plays. That's exciting.

James V seems like a good pickup. With Devin A looking like he's taken another step, our Defensive L looks to be in a good spot.

Cam A obviously looked great out there. Loved what he did after the interception as well.

Overall I'm a bit worried about our offense. None of the receivers really popped to me (but tbh I missed almost the entire 1st Q...I don't want to talk about it).

Game star....Quinton C. Fast, quick, slippery. Like trying to tackle a greased up hog. That's supposed to be a compliment. We better keep him around.

To me the biggest take from today was Strev. got lots of reps and actual QB reps.....he did run, he did get hit and he did make some throws. His knee appeared to hold-up and he made mostly smart, solid throws...I bet he would like the one RPO back....but overall I was really pleased to see him healthy and look like a real QB, not just a battering ram. With Zach out week "two" I was very pleased with how Strev. looked.

That was my takeaway as well. The first hit that Wilson took was his fault. He needs to process what’s happening faster.

I thought the 4th stringer’s arm looked good. Looked to me like he had zip on the ball throwing to the sideline. He should have had a td pass but Wallis got jammed at the line and was a step behind. The ball was in the perfect spot if Wallis gets a better release.

1. Jake Thomas. I missed the start of the game due to the CFL website being trash but I'm sure J.T was as always the best player on the field.

2. Our punter/holder. 5 for 5 on field goal holds. When you hold that well does it really matter how well you punt? Ask coach O'Shea he'll tell ya.

3. Our kick return/coverage. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Who's the last dangerous returner that we as an organization found? Grant was released from another CFL team and so was Stokes. Unacceptable

Happy Honker goes to the Riders...F*ck all of you, we hate you all. You suck. And even though this game had all the intensity of a book signing. It's always nice to beat them.

Unhappy honker goes to those who didn't get the memo about the team name. We're the BLUE Bombers. Not the Stumps or Red Blacks. Wear the right coloured gear or get a bus ticket out of the city.

The only players in my opinion who can wear whatever they want is Castillo, Brady, Zach, Willie and Big Stan. The rest don't even have the option.

Go Blue! Let's beat them again next weekend.

The red shoes and gloves really bug me too for some reason.

Funny thing about the complaining about kick returns as some kind of franchise curse is we have the most total return TD's and fewest return TD's scored on us among CFL teams in the past 10 CFL seasons.

Did not know that. Good to know.
