He lost out to the MOP...... I don't think anyone in the last 3 years could beat out Brady for a starters job.

and was behind Harris before that....was a solid guy in the end....and didnt hurt you when he needed to step in....how that would projected as the bell cow...who knows....but guy was nowhere near being a bust by any stretch....he was a complimentary piece on a team outside the starting 12 on offence like 2/3rds of every other teams roster

5 yard average is starter material.  He had the unfortunate luck of playing behind amazing backs.

Far better backs have have more over larger sample sizes and been cut. Small sample size ypc is meaningless.

Augustine over rated. Streveler under rated. Wild. If Augustine wasn’t a good teams player he’d be out the league long time ago. Signed with Hamilton. Likely to not get reps.

I mean, find some one from the nfl side saying Streveler was over rated. Augustine was given the same money as Brady at one point, (and making more than other starters in the league) and is a career 200 yard per season rusher over 6 seasons.

Augustine played teams for barely a year and a half. He became solid at it in the end, which is a small piece of his career.

We’ve seen worse Canadians get a lot more chances than they should have many times in the league.

Hamilton went after all our ex players. I wouldn’t be stunned if at some point they go after dole now lol.

I mean we finally grew him into a useful piece on teams only to get rid of him. It’s bizarre to say the least. But it’s kind of status quo.

Mike Hogan's annual Inside The War Room piece is up. He spends draft day with the Argos player department and does a revealing writeup every year.

Certain rules apply, ie: he isn't allowed to talk specifically about trades that don't get over the line or players who they don't draft but wanted.

It was of particular interest to us this season since Vince Magri moved on to the Bills, we didn't know if it was all Murphy and Dinwiddie or what... Turns out it was an internal promotion of Video/Scouting/QC Coach Marcus Grandison. Sounds like he played a big role too.

I love the idea and we usually get some thing similar but a bit more fluffy from Tait here.
If the league put it self out there more and gave fans all the stuff they don’t want to share, they would create a huge vacuum for the target demographic.

I know no team would want to be that open, but if they want to break the norm it will take great discomfort. I’m not talking about teams bad mouthing players they don’t like, but being open about what they do like about who they like. Competitively, it comes to pass fairly quickly after the draft that each team knows who the other teams liked. And it doesn’t really matter at that point any way.

Failed to take the role in 2022 when it was an open competition between him and Brady. They also split carries the first six games of that year. Guy just isn't a starter.

He was/is fast in a straight line but neither explosive off the line or capable of making a deke.

Former cfler Kerry Joseph took an ast coach job in Texas, he’s going to be a special defensive ast.
He’s been a qb coach the last few years in the nfl. A college job like Texas is a good gig, but special assistant on the D side isn’t great for longevity. He’s was pretty close to being jobless this season.

He’d be a great target for a team up here, especially for fresh blood on O and qb grooming.  And to groom as a hc.

Maybe he’s not a good coach if the only job he can currently get isn’t a good one. There is the possibility that he’s a piece of **** human being or a really bad coach or both.

Nah the fact he’s got this sub par fit from an excellent program deep with coaches speaks volumes to how high quality a person and coach he is.
The chris jones type move would be sliding into a program that under achieved in a lesser or sub optimal spot so you can slither up into the hc spot with any on field turmoil.
Kerry Joseph is a great guy, very very mos like in character attitude work ethic and leadership.

Yeah..the fact they basically made a spot to retain him speaks volumes...it's pretty rare actually

From all accounts his character and respect has followed him into coaching ranks.. he'd be a good get as a coach back in tge CFL

Yup. People forget he was a db in the NFL for 4 years. He played special teams for ott. He had like 150 tackles in the NFL. Guy was a blood n guts gritty tough football player. And to meet him as a person, humble down to earth smart and classy.

Three guys I thought would be CFL assistants & then head coaches that never happened. Tom Clements. I think he'd have made a very fine qb coach, then OC & HC. The other who I always thought would come back was Danny Barrett. They found their niche in the NFL & college football. Finally, will Hank Burris ever leave the NFL & come back to the CFL?
