GDT Testing our offence without a QB

Ride em cowboys!

"Neither starter Zach Collaros nor veteran backup Chris Streveler will dress this week, leaving the start to Wilson."

There won't be any sense of offensive rhythm, that's for sure.

Why does it feel like someone is thumbing their nose somewhere.

Well I for one like a good joke. So let's have a sense of humour. GO BLUE!

PS: I hope our defence gets enough work…

60 minutes before gametime.   Sitting in the empty stands, soaking it in... First home game (covid/health stuff) in a very long time... GO BLUE!!

Here's a cut at Week 1 roster (Need 6 Canadians on O every snap, 1 Canadian on D every snap):   QB- Collaros, Streveler, Wilson   RB- OLIVIERA,    AUGUSTINE, ROSERY, Smith*

I thought it improved tremendously once I muted it. 😂

Schmekel is right in QB's face both downs.

Although we only stayed for the 1st half, I thought Schmekel looked pretty good. Lots of forward push and fast feet.

I thought O'Shea was trolling Booch when I saw Schmekel (and Jake Kelly) come out as captains for the coin toss.

I love Jake Kelly

His floor is hallett imo.

Kelly showed some nice aggressive playing last night. Made a great breakup on the play.

Adam's can range for a big dude

Gonna be hearing a lot about that guy. A Dustin Byfuglien freak type player.

The way he’s being talked up around here makes me think he’s a guaranteed cut.

That would be so frustrating

That only makes the cut more likely.

And not shocking sadly

Upon further review (with a terribly close camera angle that the CFL should be furious about) I think Marquise Bridges played very well at HB.

Devin Adams, Miles Fox and Jamal Woods are all very good players and I hope the team figures out a way to keep them all.

Owen Hubert for a rookie late round Canadian feels like someone who could be stashed on PR. For all the talk about Mason Bennett on here, I don't actually think he's very good and neither does Hamilton clearly. Hubert might satiate the desire for a future rotational Canadian DE in a way that Suckthany Bennett couldn't.

Terrell Bonds and Ty Ford were my favorite CBs. Demetries Ford and Bill Hackett are both good too but I think they're both 5-7 which might be too small to stick around

Are you a wizard? I liked Woods when we signed him, thought he kind of sucked in the first preseason game but I’m sure I missed some stuff.

Bridges and Bonds were two of my favourites from the camp roster of defensive backs. I’m assuming Bonds gets the start.

Bridges seems like the kind of guy who can play anywhere from HB to WIL as he gets more reps.  Solid tackler.

Was Bridges wearing the yellow shoes?

That was Mitchell no with the colorful shoes. Bridges was the guy involved in like every tackle made. Really stood out to me.

There were a few players with coloured shoes, one on D. wearing yellow or gold.

Mitchell had red gloves and shoes on, not yellow.

Being that short, they would have to roll their socks down to pee.
