  • I liked the part where @SpeedFlex27 quoted himself so he could regale us with his illustrious curling memoir.

  • Whether he comes back to Winnipeg or not, Strev will be a Bombers legend for life, after that playoff run (and all he did within it) and the post championship celebration... Afaic, he is a Bomber for

Do we really need another quarterback?

Yes. We also need a new Left Tackle, Center, Right Guard, Boundary Receiver, Linebacker, both Corners, both DBs & Safety.

Easy as cake. Piece of pie, right?

A free agent here, a draft pick there sprinkled in with a trade or 2 & we're good to go.

It’s insane how poor our O line is considering the amount of Americans we have starting.

Coaches & management decisions have brought us here yet you get the sense the Trinity doesn't get it yet with Bryant still starting.

Apparently Andrew Whitworth was the first tackle to start in modern NFL history. Currently there are no 40 year old tackles. Doesn’t surprise me though. Management has 2019 beer goggles on.

Chris Streveler gave Osh his fur coat when he left.

I don’t think both corners. Williams is a rookie and has potential. Can tackle. Luke Wilson likes him. Seems to also play with a bit of fire, only guy on D who does really. Moxey? Cut. Nichols can go. Holm? I’d try him at safety. So 1 corner and 2 DBs lol. But tejada is on the PR so let’s say 2 others. Might be another Also but let’s keep it at 2 others.

LB? Wilson and Jones can go.

Right now I’d go Smith the Canadian at WIL. And Woodbey at SAM. I’d bring in some middle guys but maybe a guy like Ayers can get it done. Who knows. I’d bring in a couple legit Middle guys tho.

O? Bryant is the root cause issue on the OL. Remove him and if all improves.

Broxton. Wallace. Eli. Neufeld. Vanty.

Boundary receiver? I don’t think it matters as much as the O not being run by a moron. I’d fire Tommy and hogan can run things. At least he’d likely use Brady more and properly this time.

So, fire Condell & then give the offense back to Hogan? I hope that doesn't happen. Knowing Osh, we should be safe there.

if ZC is back...I'd let him call his own plays for most part...he's a vet...will have feel for whats going on....and have TC "suggest" some things on occasion

People under this belief that a QB needs to be led by the nose...not true...especially for a guy like ZC..Harris...BLM...Adams...I'd even say Rourke too now

We are near, if not already at the point, where the season is decided, for better or worse, and changing coaches will do little to affect the outcome of the season. It may be of value to make a point by sacking one or two of the assistant coaches, though. I would like to see Khari back here.

Bombers are less than halfway through the season but the last two games have been annoying haven't helped them.

With Hamilton and Ottawa the way they are there will almost certainly be a crossover team from the west.

Two late game collapses have made it harder than it should be. They need to beat Calgary at home to have the tiebreaker against them, and beat BC away by 17 points to have the tiebreaker there. Giving up 15 points in a minute inside the 3 morning warning definitely sucked when you only have a home and home against a divisional team.

Incidents are often happenstance and unpredictable. Patterns and trends are what count, and neither flatter the Bombers.

That's what got Don Jonas traded to hamilton many moons ago. Back in the mid 70's when things started changing, veteran qbs were allowed to call their own plays. When that happened, it was like a rite of passage. The Head Coach acknowledged his starting qbs was a true veteran. It was the ultimate in trust & most qbs embraced it loving the freedom to call their own plays. It was an acknowledgement that the HC trusted him to make decisions on the field. That just isn't done today. Everything is so controlled now that I can't see Osh as a conservative head coach ever allowing it.

The big advantage with ZC in there, is that he and Condell worked on this playbook all season to match Zac's strengths and preferences. That should give it a bump.

would hope...seemed to be in sync prettty good initially...we still desperately need another real receiver tho...wonder what it gonna take for that to happen?

Gonna take KW to get off his ass and find one.

several...sign em...and "indicate" that he wants to see them in actual game play to truly assess them....if they got it...or something you will see it immediately...dont need to languish on the PR all yr running scout where the defense knows exactly what you are doing...thats no way to assess anyone

That being said based on our bottom of the league offensive output both Singer and Womack should have already had some play time to see whats what...and if they are even worth keeping around...and if not...reload some new bodies

WR is pretty easy...run your route...catch the ball...make a guy or 2 miss...they dont need months of PR rot. Route tree's are route tree's and the bigger field up here benefits a raw rookie WR up here with minimal learning curve way easier than a DB or LB...This notion we need to season for a yr or 2 on the PR is a load of dogshit for recievers

We don't even try the ones who made some plays in preseason so why we pretending anyone Walters signed would get a shot anyway?

There is a WR on the Bombers' neg list named Elijah Cooks who has been bouncing around the NFL for a few years and is probably just about out of chances... 6'4, 215 lbs... would love to see him as a late add this season.

Yep Frederickson and Singer...there's our Grey Cup

The point is, O'Shea doesn't use options he has, so what difference does signing someone new make?

I agree that Kyle Walters needs to slap some sense into O'Shea to make changes when things don't work but can we please stop pretending that it's all a talent issue and nobody can possibly be better than what they're rostering now?

Fred is gone...Singer looked better in pre-season than anyone currently on roster...there's also that

Thing is...We have a useless under producing position in Cobbs/Corcoran's role...when he was here...You could also say Hield as well....he's done pretty much nothing...Singer or Womack if for anything would actually garner attention from the defences and have to be accounted for with more than just some passage coverage in case the ball goes out there

Just athletially and what they bring to the table alone trumps 3 of our current guys...One of which in Daniels really has no business being on roster right now either...Clercius and or MCI and Eli can do what he's doing...and did prior to him being here

That's coaching blundering

exactly...Osh is the main culprit holding guys back...or not even getting the chance...Many said that maybe the reason Smith doesn't get to play is cause he isn't good enough...as others said its not the case...but Osh favoring his favs and vets...but lo and behold when he gets reps...he kills it...I said for 2 yrs Griffin should be our SAM...Others said nope..Osh knows...Kramdi there cause Osh said he super smart and plays like a prick..Lo and behold Griffin gets the job...and plays in a way Kramdi could only dream about...while still sucking at safety...brains and all

Thomas holding back the production off others on the dline...nope....he glue...experienced...gone...and lo and behold...Others making plays and we one the top teams in sacks and pressure with guys on the dline....thats just a few examples. I sure as well if Eli was given full control of center...he's be the best we seen here since Couture...but will never know unless Big Legs gets hurt

And nobody with half a brain can say anyone not named Cobbcorcoran would be a better option as an american at the WR ....Not in Osh's narrow mind tho
