Who knows...there will be like 700 inactive guys on NFL rosters between injury lists and PR.  If he sticks on a PR down there for 2 weeks he'd make more than he would here for the rest of the season.  Even if he gets here for the Banjo Bowl he's got 7 game cheques in the CFL and signing here he's taken himself completely away from the possibility of getting with a NFL team in the 2025 season.

But waiting and hoping...even getting a look before signed...pays him nothing too...plus hes made nothing as of yet this yr...so yeah tough call for him...smart move is to come up I think

Even if they gave him $200,000 CAD pro-rated he's got like $80,000 Canadian plus playoff money for the rest of the season.  That's 4 weeks of NFL PR salary.

He's a guy that made a nice NIL nut too at Florida State.  I don't think he's desperate for a few game cheques in Canadian dollars.

Yeah true...but he also has to be realistic with himself...can't knock him from trying/hoping tho

It's too bad the CFL doesn't let guys go once the season is done up here.  He signs up here and he basically takes himself out of the 2025 NFL season.  However large or small the chance of him snagging a PR spot down there is.

An early cut of a team with a poor receiving corps. That phone isn't going to ring from any other NFL team.

He needs current game film that may entice another team next year. He's a UDFA early cut with no value to STs..he's not in demand.

Nope...nothing invested in him..and he just a run of mill guy down there...his smart move really for this yr is to get up here asap

I'd be surprised if Wilson made a large amount of NIL $. He was at FSU between 2018-2022, NIL only came in for 2021. So two years tops and he was a guy putting up 400-500 yards per year.

they did some player appearance things at fsu as soon as nil came in. guys like wilson made 170-200 bucks an hour. i’d bet he made in the 20-30k range, sounds like they worked it pretty well for the early days. 

 

Since the cap went up 500k, and we likely came in under the previous cap plus have 6game savings, we should have a pretty good nut to offer wilson. 

which makes me wonder 1, what’s he worth to get up asap? and what would it take? 

200k for 2 years with 100k upfront? with the standard agreement that he can work out and if an nfl team wants to sign him in the off season we let him go. It’s high value for a one year guy, but i think that’d be what it takes to move him quickly.

Are we just assuming this? Everyone is projecting them to carry just two QBs so definitely not making the AR but I thought GB wasn't announcing cuts until Tuesday

Its a tough task for an ungrateful.. Canadian...who played his college ball in Canada to stick...especially so fir a qb...I sure tho this yr he gonna do the try and bounce around on PR dance this yr...may as well

I thought love was injured. Figured they would keep the rest until he’s healthy. If he was cut tho dude should just say F you and come up here cuz he looked like the best QB Green Bay had and I understand it’s pre season but was pre season for the other QBs also. 
 

like at this point what can a Canadian QB do cuz Elgersma was basically flawless and still cut for a guy who looked worse.

Artopoeus. If Elgersma comes to Winnipeg. He will not take over the #2 or #3 on the depth chart. At least, not this year.

Why. He’s got more potential than both Wilson and Streveler. Why cut a guy who showed more in pre season than Wilson has in 2 years. Streveler can’t even make a QB sneak anymore.

Why not. He’s already a better passer than Wilson and Streveler. I’d imagine if he signs he’s on the AR or 1 game. He’s not gonna come up to sit on our PR.
