heck of a career and hope he gets a shot at a Cup. Despite how the last couple years have gone, I'll never say anything bad about the guy. He tried hard for a long time for the Winnipeg franchise.

well, I did say that the best we could hope for in the Scheif/Wheels situation that one of them will be gone

Best we could hope for was 55 traded 😂

Trade both of them now for next to nothing or wait and lose them for definitely nothing.  Pretty much a Hobson's choice going on here.

I expected Schiefs would stay but a little surprised about Hellebuyck.  Jets are obviously better with the two of them then neither of them.

Gawanke signed a 4 year contract to play in Germany but in all probability has an out in that contract, he was never going to crack the Jets D lineup

I'm sensing Helle wants to go to a legitimate cup contender right now to win in the next 1-3 years so won't consider signing with the Jets unless the number is absurd that no other team would match and it would be difficult for him to leave that amount of cash on the table.

As for #55, I get no sense of where his headspace is right now.

45m over the next 5 years is almost as much as what he is going to make on any 6 or 7 year deal elsewhere.

I think this lineup makes the playoffs. That 3rd line could own other team's lines depending. Three good lines and a really good 4th line.
