I think that's the problem.  The next coach better change the culture to make PLD stay.   He's a piece that is crucial to the Jets success going forward.

It's possible he's part of the problem tho isn't it. I mean,  if he don't wanna be here he's a problem. I mean he had issues in Columbus.  People were not upset to see him gone there. Maybe he's a diva?

How is that good to hear? And how does making him captain for potentially only two seasons a good idea?

This is pretty lousy news.

my main point is that he's not leaving yet, something could change within two years

He can't test the waters as a RFA. He actually has no control over whether he leaves until 2024.

Oi.... He's under contract for two years and can't go anywhere. He's said he's leaving as soon as he can go. Christ sakes... In no way is that good.

I am wondering what's going on myself, what if isn't Scheif, what if it isn't Wheels, what if it isn't any of the players, what if it's someone higher up in the organization that's being toxic

  No this is bad/horrible news. He just told the Jets he‘S not signing long term until he’s a UFA and 90% of the time UFA’s go buy bye.

Maybe it’s just the city. Winnipeg is on more no-trade clauses than any other NHL team, according to every player poll they’ve ever cranked out.

Rumor Scheif staying . If people noticed on NIPD scheif was the guy in the jersey on their Facebook page. It's little things like that. 

Wheeler on the trade block tho according to Seravelli. He apparently asked for a trade after Maurice left

As for Dubois, he didn't say he wanted out. Just his plan is to test ufa waters currently.  Cap expected to move up but right now Dubois is a 60 point 2 center. 55 put up more points in less games. If in 2 years time pld is an 80 to 90 point guy, he should get paid but right now he's prob worth 7 million per and he prob thinks he deserves 9 9.5 but 60 point centers don't get that. This negotiating through the media turns me off tho.

If we had to reassign the C then I've got a feeling Scheifele would get it but I'd love to see Lowry with the C,PLD with an A.

Morrissey or Lowry. 

I wouldn't give Dubois a letter unless he signs long term 

Lowry is absolutely my choice for Captain, at this point... heart and soul, never takes a shift off. That's the kinda guy you want wearing your letters. Connor (never in the box) wearing and A and Morrissey with one, as well...

Pasta gets paid 6.75 per or so. We can afford him.  I wouldn't do it tho as Scheif is worth more, he's a center and wants to Win. Think his PC was a little bit overblown

Which way do you feel about Schefiele because during the season it was an onslaught of posts criticizing and wanting him traded.  Just a quick sampling of some of your posts towards the end of last season.   There are many more like these.

Scheifele? Did u miss the part where his stupidity = 2 leaf goals? If you think 55 is trying his hardest like Blake Helle Apples hell Even Barron tonight, you are insane. He's checked out.  He's as good as done as a Jet. He's the guy they will be trading. Take Blake away from him and Blake gets better,  Mark stays the same.
