Fil de Jeu - Als @ Bombers

Big game today, gotta try and gain some ground on the Stamps and 'Riders. My wife hates the weather, but I think it plays right into the Bombers ground game.

Run. The. Ball. Go Blue!

  • Lapo without Whitehead is forced to actually call a real game plan. Streveler made some young qb mistakes, but also did some really good things.

Finally, Lapo and O'Shea are making coaching decisions based on reading MBB.

  • Would be insane to give up on streveler for a post shoulder surgery Nichols

HATE that call to have Streveler take a hand off at this point in the game up by 14

Game over.

Time to put McGuire in for a couple of plays.

Streveler > Nichols, AINEC.

Streveler with a very Nicholsian win today. Definitely wasn’t pretty but the team won so I suppose he gets all the credit.

well the score graphic is gone

He'll only get better.

Kongbo with real hustle there.

Yeah, cuz we see Nichols running like an unstoppable locomotive all the time. 🙂

Streveler wasn’t any better today than he was against Hamilton but a win does a lot to adjust perspectives. That’s the whole thing with Nichols. Does this team win today without four picks? Doubt it. Same thing as a ton of the Nichols wins.

A Nicholsian passing game, then. The point is he was mediocre but the team won.

How many rushing yards does Harris have. No mention from my good friends Black and Ford.

Agreed. When our D or ST had good games Nichols would almost always preserve the win. Strev did enough to win ala Nichols.

Not particularly impressed with his decision making today on his INTs though.

Second one was bad. First one was a jump ball in the end zone with one on one coverage. Adams didn’t give much effort and was tugged most of the way down the field. You could argue he didn’t need to take that shot there but we’ve settled for field goals with poor clock management in those scenarios so often, it doesn’t bother me much.

Mediocre Streveler > mediocre Nichols , then. 🙂

Didn't Montreal kind of push the Bomber away to catch that ball?

Hey, I completely agree. And Streveler theoretically should only improve.

Once again, that’s talking about events that haven’t happened so it’s tough to say what actually would happen. Easy to say it’s one way or the other. It’s just as easy for me to say I think they would win even if they didnt have 4 picks.

He was given way more calls that played to his strengths than the Hamilton game. Yes CS made some key mistakes today but played better. Room for improvement, yes but was given way more freedom to use his strengths with great support from Harris.

I like wins much more than losses.

Nice to win again, lets do it again next week in Calgary

Okay, but if we can’t have theoretical discussions it severely limits the discussion on a message board. Teams rarely lose when they create five turnovers. I don’t think this is any great revelation.
