ESF: Lions @ Cats

Both teams in relative free fall near the end of the season.  Think it's going to be kind of an ugly show for offenses with both teams needing their defenses and special teams to make the difference.

Going to give the edge to BC because I believe Lulay is ready for this and more capable than the fake QB on the other side.

  • instead we get Homer Suitor gushing over the Riders all game. Talk about a no win situation.

  • Buono might retire at half time...

Way too many drunken disrespectful idiots.  Kudos to the Hamilton fans for being able to shut it down like that and show such amazing respect to our vets.

That was almost eerie. That silence was deafening. A good job by everyone involved.

Shitty way for Wally to go out, tbh

I agree.  Shame to watch him go out the same way Cal did in 1996.

3 week in a row.....Lions precede Wally into retirement.....

I'm glad we didn't end up in the cross over spot lol....

I don't think it mattered for us.  BC rarely travels well and looks like a true "indoor" team.

Ok over to the NFL until the Bombers game

Bye Wally...BC Sucks!!

oops

I just meant for today, for some reason it looks like the game is going hamiltons way no matter what BC is going to do,

Hamilton needs a 31-0 lead at halftime... I hear that’s a pretty safe lead...

Vikings on a bye this week so I guess the Patriots it is...

At this point the Cats could bring out their lawn chairs and have a couple of cerveza's and the Lions still wouldn't score.

Holy ****... it took til 4 mins left in the half before rod black mentions Steve Tasker... that has to be a new “black calling a ti-cats game” record...

Hamilton playing hard, BC hardly playing

For those interested in a little CFL playoff history:

Largest CFL comeback playoff history:
Nov-09-1963: Saskatchewan overcame a 26 point differential deficit against Calgary after losing game 1 35-9 and won game 2 39-12. They advanced based on point differential (48-47). Back then, two games were played and if the playoff series was split, the winner advanced based on point differential.

Largest comeback in single playoff game:
Nov-20-1960: Ottawa overcame a 20 point deficit to win 21-20.

So yeah, barring historical, record-setting playoff comebacks not seen in 50+ years, Lions are toast.

That's what I was thinking too.

The end of Don Matthew's career was a train wreck too. Must be a CFL legend thing...

The BC brass had better tell Buono his retirement starts the minute regulation time in this game ends.  Disgraceful showing by his team.

Like players not knowing when to retire, coaches do the same thing.

That will hurt the Riders DL. If they can't get traction they can't pressure Nichols or stop Harris.

santos knox out.
