I saw an interview with Doughty and he said that Vegas is maybe the hardest team to play against b/c they give full effort on every shift. That what building a team full of grinders will give you. Get

Maybe it is time for the stars to have a coaching change but at least it was his own terms

Nothing new here - Below average management team with a below average team talent level playing in the worse arena in the NHL. However bringing in a new coach will put a few more bums in the seats and give the flames fans some hope (faint at best).

breaking news:

he's up against Rinne and Vasilevskiy

The Flames actually have some really good young forward talent but they just haven't been able to put it all together.  Their defense is sub standard.  They need a top 4 d man and a veteran guy like Hendricks who can be a leader.

Imo they need more depth at forward. I think they were bottom five in the league in goals. Gaudreau is elite, Monahan & Tkachuk are good, Backlund is decent, and that's about it. Ferland's not bad, but he got 20 goals mostly b/c they let him play with Gaudreau.

Flames have Frolik dont' forget... :D

Flames don't need very much... something must have happened in that locker room for this year's collapse

If Hamonic is healthy, they have a good D - Andersson will be really good very soon

A couple depth signings this FA...  Grabner and Eller?  and they really can't let Backlund walk

Oh - and bring back Darryl Sutter.  I miss his interviews.

Brent Burns totally deserves it this year... what a joke.  So many guys better than Subban.

Marketing stunt.

Here''s "the great"  PK Subban at work ......anyway... cost his team a game here I'd say.

These three are all deserving too...  can argue Keller had less to work with than Connor

Deserving yes. But Conners goals total was too much to be left off.

Boeser and Keller shouldnt be on the list. Gourde and Connor should be but theres a theme here.

Gourde? Tbay. Playoffs.

Connor? Jets. Playoffs.

Boeser? Barzal? Keller? No playoffs.

and the Wild have fired their GM.....you know I used to have a joke that went. MTS Center: Where coaching careers or Winning streaks come to die (because I recall that some coaches of teams we played against were usually fired the next day, heck I think Carlyle was one of those people)

Laine was a Calder finalist last year and the jets weren't in the playoffs

they have Parise and Suter with those lifetime contracts. But they have talent. Should be able to make some moves and compete. Can’t rebuild with those two there

This is a rough situation.  Beat his wife. Does that mean his career should be over?  Is there room for forgiveness and a second chance?

Yes. Last years rookie group wasn't as strong tho.

Boeser is a bit questionable on that list...  only played 62 games...

Moot argument - Barzal will win.
