Trump’s Pick for Intelligence Chief Follows a Slew of QAnon Accounts

LIBERTY CROSSING

John Ratcliffe’s campaign Twitter account follows Pizzagaters, JFK Jr. conspiracists, and a 9/11 Truther account with just one follower besides himself.

For a nominee to helm the U.S. government’s intelligence apparatus, Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-Texas) draws on some unusual sources of information.

Ratcliffe’s official, verified campaign Twitter account follows several accounts on the political fringe, including a 9/11 truther account with just one follower besides himself and four promoting the outlandish QAnon conspiracy theory, which posits that the world is run by a cabal of Democratic pedophile-cannibals—and has been ruled a potential source of domestic terrorism by the FBI.

CNN Accuses Trump Campaign of ‘False, Misleading, and Deceptive’ Edit of Its Footage

CNN has accused the Trump re-election campaign of misusing CNN news coverage in a way that’s “false, misleading, and deceptive.” The network issued a cease-and-desist letter in response to a new Trump ad, titled “American Comeback,” which edits a segment from CNN’s The Situation Room to suggest that Wolf Blitzer and a guest, Sanjay Gupta, were crediting the president’s travel ban policy issued in January for saving millions of American lives, “when in fact Mr. Blitzer and Dr. Gupta were discussing recently implemented social-distancing guidelines and stay-at-home orders issued by state and local governments.” The Trump campaign has said “the ad is accurate,” said CNN was “the only outlet” to reject the ad and called the news network “effectively a Joe Biden super PAC.”

This whole affair is book material, movie material, mini-series material, but since we’ve lived through this nightmare, who’s going to want to see it again?

It will surely be a movie or a few movies.  But it really screams to be made into a premium series on HBO or Netflix.  Sort of a House of Cards meets The West Wing.  But good question, how long after the international nightmare ends will people be ready to relive it, in even more shocking detail?

Trump’s crazypants new plan to win the 2020 election is cruel and stupid — and won’t work:

Every ridiculous action taken by Donald Trump makes a little more sense when viewed through the prism of re-election. Every terrible decision, every whiny outburst, every childish tweet is issued with the goal of helping Trump get re-elected, and of course re-election explains his horrifyingly incompetent response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A damning whistleblower complaint details the ‘tragic’ blunders of Jared Kushner’s coronavirus task force: report

Written by Alex Henderson May 5, 2020
The phrase “coronavirus task force” is usually used in connection with the group that is headed by Vice President Mike Pence and includes medical experts such as Dr. Deborah Birx and immunologist Dr. Anthony Fauci. But a separate task force, headed by White House Senior Adviser Jared Kushner, has used private-sector companies for coronavirus-related efforts — and according to a whistleblower complaint, things are not going well.

Not to mention the fact he’s not smart enough to know what dumb is so it makes sense he didn’t say it.

Good point. If you listen to Trump in a press conference or during a speech, it is obvious that he cannot think linearly.
