Absolutely no legal basis for this sort of appeal. Trump believes that the judges he appointed "owe him". Moreover, today he said publicly, "If you are coming after me, I am coming after you". There is little doubt he aimed this comment at the DOJ and all prosecutors and potential witnesses with intent to intimidate them. A bully to the end, and the end for him and his enablers cannot come soon enough.

‘SOUND OF FREEDOM’ INVESTOR ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH CHILD KIDNAPPING

Fabian Marta is one of many financiers of the Christian anti-child trafficking film “Sound of Freedom,” but he has been arrested and charged with child kidnapping.

“Fabian Marta was charged with felony child kidnapping in July, while since-removed Facebook posts appear to show the same person revealing their pride in funding the film. Marta’s name appears in the movie’s credits among the ‘investors [who] helped bring Sound of Freedom to theaters,” Newsweek reported Friday.
The publication pointed out that in the state of Missouri, “child kidnapping is a class A felony. If found guilty, Marta could face 10 years to life in prison.”

The film itself is based on the supposedly true story of Tim Ballard, who is a former Department of Homeland Security agent, and the charity organization he founded called Operation Underground Railroad (OUR). The film has been widely promoted by conservative media and surprised movie professionals by performing so well after having trouble getting distribution after Disney acquired 21st Century Fox.

However, some of its success has been brought into question as fans reported entering “sold out” shows to empty theaters. “But some of the patterns of sales are raising accusations the people buying these seats aren’t real,” the Daily Dot reported.

didn't someone ever explain to him that getting charged with a crime is a bad thing? it's like he's begging for more charges

It's just useless talk online. Trump is a tough guy online like lots of people but in reality he's feeling the heat.

You'd think tho after his attempted coup that he would be smarter with his words online and watch what he's saying cuz doesn't take much to fire up the nuts insane ppl in his base who will actually take it serious and someone will end up dead.

People Aren't Buying Donald Trump's Explanation For 'I'm Coming After You!' Post

The ex-president's team gave a questionable defense for his ominous warning after he appeared in court for conspiracy charges related to the 2020 election.
Donald Trump on Saturday issued a defense of his “I’m coming after you!” threat, and many people aren’t believing it.

After pleading not guilty to charges that he conspired to lie about the 2020 election results and block a peaceful transition of power ― plus being warned by the judge not to try to influence or retaliate against witnesses ― the ex-president delivered an ominous warning on his Truth Social website:

“IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU!”

The Justice Department cited the post in seeking a protective order from the judge overseeing the election case, noting concern over a “harmful chilling effect on witnesses.”

An anonymous Trump spokesperson later issued an explanation.  “The Truth post cited is the definition of political speech, and was in response to the RINO, China-loving, dishonest special interest groups and Super PACs, like the ones funded by the Koch brothers and the Club for No Growth,” the campaign declared

And you just know his slimy family, all in their own gross ways, are helping facilitate this to continue to make gobs and gobs of money. Everything is a business transaction with them.

Trump's arrogance and bloated ego will compel him to spend every cent he can get his hands om ro appea;l and appeal and appeal. I would not put it past him to flee the USA if it becomes certain that he will go to jail.

Trump and his rag tag of buffoon lawyers have no defense on any of the indictments, his only play is a rile up his cult to the point that they take up arms for dear leader and try to start a civil war.

Mmmmmm dunno about that. ‘Don’t ever question our decisions and actions’ Scotus may come me save the day for this dangerous circus freak.

Trump-appointed judge orders Southwest lawyers to get 'religious-liberty training' by 'hate group': report

United States District Court Judge Brantley Starr of the Northern District of Texas on Monday ordered three Southwest Airlines attorneys to attend "religious-liberty training" through the Alliance Defending Freedom, which is designated as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Starr was nominated by former President Donald Trump in 2019 and confirmed to the federal bench in a 51-39 party-line vote by the then-Republican-controlled Senate.

Star wrote that "the airline twisted his words and disregarded his order in the case of a flight attendant who claimed that she was fired for expressing her opposition to abortion," reports David Koenig of the Associated Press. "Starr found Southwest in contempt for the way it explained the case to flight attendants last year after losing a jury verdict. In a blistering 29-page order, the judge said the airline acted as if its own policy limiting what employees can say is more important than a federal law protecting religious speech."

Koenig notes that "for Southwest, the sanctions add insult to injury. They stem from a roughly $800,000 judgment against the airline and the flight attendant's union. Although that was less than the jury's $5.1 million award, Charlene Carter also got her job back."

Carter had "sued Southwest for firing her in 2017 after she sent confrontational anti-abortion messages to her union’s former president. Carter argued she had been discriminated against based on her religious beliefs," writes The New Republic's Tori Otten.

https://www.alternet.org/airline-lawyers-religious-liberty-training/

In his latest decision, Otten continues, "Starr specifically mandated the lawyers take the training as part of court-ordered sanctions for religious discrimination. He described ADF as one of several 'esteemed non-profit organizations that are dedicated to preserving free speech and religious freedom.'"

Starr "also ordered Southwest to issue a statement telling its employees that the airline 'may not' engage in religious discrimination against them. Instead, Southwest said that it 'does not' do so, prompting Carter to demand additional sanctions against the company," Otten explains.

The fascism is strong with DeSantis:

DeSantis suspends elected Florida state attorney Monique Worrell, accusing her of being soft on crime

KEY POINTS

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Wednesday suspended Monique Worrell, the state attorney for Florida’s Ninth Judicial Circuit, accusing her of under-prosecuting criminals in her jurisdiction.

The surprise move to dismiss an elected state official came as DeSantis struggles to gain ground against former President Donald Trump in the Republican presidential primary.

“We all know that this is not about policy or anything that I’ve actually done,” Worrell said in response to the suspension.
