US Politics

Lets see if we can keep this thread a little more civil.

I found this interview very interesting.  A lot of soft balls thrown at Trump, he explained his back pedalling on his more extreme issues as a lot of his claims as opening bids for negotiation purposes.  Which .. whatever .. I still think that those are insincere claims he used to get elected.

He does now come across way more presidential then he did prior to the election.  A lot of his noise, yelling, and rhetoric has been scaled back.

Do respect this one though:

Quote

Lesley Stahl: Are you gonna take the salary, the president’s salary?

Donald Trump: Well, I’ve never commented on this, but the answer is no. I think I have to by law take $1, so I’ll take $1 a year. But it’s a -- I don’t even know what it is.

Donald Trump: Do you know what the salary is?

Lesley Stahl: $400,000 you’re giving up.

Donald Trump: No, I’m not gonna take the salary. I’m not taking it.

Now watch them try to control, define and direct the FBI investigation.

Yup the "Deep State" plot may re-emerge

Yup. They are so **** scared of the fbi

Trump and the Republicans may want the investigation "limited in scope" but the FBI doesn't roll that way, they will interview who they want to and dig as deep as they have to and then present their findings, what the Senators do with the findings is up to them.

"Trump orders FBI probe"

Just look at how stupid that really is.

And Maybe his nominee is feeling a little less confident now, and might even be working up a bit of a sweat.

This is not a real probe. It's smoke and mirrors.

When the FBI find something, the report will be quashed and confirmation will go ahead.

It's all for show. They're so morally bankrupt, nothing they do matters.

I wonder if he’d consider withdrawing rather then face complete disgrace. If he’s guilty....

But... ANother week... more time for more allegations to come out.

At this point, more allegations just add to the noise. Everything becomes so loud, nothing can be heard.

Truly, if they could just corroborate the stories already out there, that should be enough to sink the GOP in the midterms.

They'll still get their man on the bench but the Dems could continue their investigation into his perjury.

If he gets on the SCOTUS- he will eventually be impeached and replaced.

Alex Jones and his merry crew over at Inforwars, has the answers to all this.

According to them.....Ford isn't really a psychologist, and has ties to the CIA. She is described as a "CIA Honeytrap", serving the Deep State

America loves crackpots.

Nevermind Fox.....Between Breitbart, Inforwars and The Daily Caller......I get all the alternative facts, I need.

See. It’s all a sham. Let’s hope the FBI ignores this directive. This should be a national scandal if true.  And should end Kavanaugh (and help end trump).

If true the Senate should cancel Kavanaugh’s confirmation and refuse to continue with it. You can’t claim he’s a great man who never did anything while pretending you want an investigation while blocking that investigation.

I hope those Senators that insisted on this will vote no on principal.

The old switcharoo, tell the public they will allow a investigation and then latter on put stipulations on the investigation on some of the most important parts of Kavanaugh's character.

Only things I know about Kavanaugh is he is a liar (got caught tell many a lie), has anger issues, and likes beer, likes beer a lot.

And here we go...

Sure looks like this FBI investigation is being done for show and in the end the people of the United States will have a political, lying, angry, entitled ,quite possibly serial sexual assault SCOTUS judge to match the POTUS, the only difference is the Kavanaugh likes beer, likes beer a lot

Can Trump issue a directive limiting the scope of the FBI investigation? And if not, is Trump then interfering with this FBI probe, and subsequently can he be charged with obstruction of justice? Wouldn't it be something if THIS was the FBI probe that took him down, and not Russia?
