I personally think it’s a bit ridiculous to say people 20 years ago had anything to do with the culture in place now.

We already did it last year. He's improved and I expect him to continue to improve - regardless of if we're able to bring in a ringer this year.

I see two clear limits: 1. He is not being trotted out for long FGs. We punt instead. If the coaching staff had faith (ie. Medlock) he would make some attempts here and there. 2. He gets in his own head. When he misses one, he misses multiple (ie. The BC and Montreal games this year).

The thing is, I don’t think anyone is arguing with you in this point. but right now, in 2022, he has limitations that could cost us a chance at three-peating. I don’t see any reason to make a move that helps us in the present while also continuing to develop Legs for the future.

I get it, but the close relationship between fans and players has been a unique and cool feature of the CFL. It's always been fun and created some of the best moments. It's a shame to be trending towards the distance and coldness of the NFL.

I don't know man... You can say "it's fine", but the OL has taken a significant step back this year.

I am sure of one thing. The only way to avoid OL catastrophe is to trust our scouting and development- not reach back to guys who haven’t played since before the covid year.

Not much chance, imo. Given how long he’s been out, I’d expect to see him get a full week of practice before he plays.

Coaching cap is probably why they’re allowed to get away with it - but if you look across the league - the teams who don’t have coaches wearing multiple hats are more successful. playing that many snaps in the preseason could be a bad sign.

As much as we've made fun of the East this season, I'm pretty convinced there wont be a cross over. All of the Rider wins have been against the East and Edmonton. The majority of their remaining games are against us, BC, and Calgary. The East will gain wins against each other and keep the Riders out.
