  1. But if he signs here - isn't it a 2 year deal? It wouldn't affect his NFL dream, but he wouldn't be able to get on as a starter if he's in the CFL for 2023. I can't see a viable path that lands him on the Bombers roster. The cap isn't going to be an issue for other teams to sign him - if he comes, there will only be 4 games or so left in the season. Not going to be much of a hit.
  2. Strevie ain't really young. He was brought on solely top take up those 4th quarter snaps so they don't get anyone injured who they care about. Wilson is their present and future. Flacco is just a veteran presence to help him along.
  3. The NFL machine in the states, you can't fight it.
  4. I don’t mind people taking the other side of things. There are so many posters who have the blue-tinted glasses on that annoy me more. But it’s tiresome to be arguing about rules and precedent and be accused of only doing because of whom I’m talking to.
  5. This is our impasse. You are declaring these facts as if the whistle didn’t happen - but it did. You might wish that the refs have allowed the play to continue - but they didn’t.
  6. This is wrong. The players on the field heard the whistle and stopped playing. We don't know who might have got possession if the whistles were not blown. The whistles were blown - appropriately in everyone's mind but yours - and nothing should have been done differently after that point.
  7. He's still working, just not on the field anymore. Working with the command centre and training for now on.
  8. This. It's only a "mistake" in retrospect; therefore, not a mistake at all.
  9. It's irrelevant though. Pipkin, O'Connor, doesn't make a difference.
  10. Losing the one player that was carrying the team is what screwed them, his nationality had nothing to do with it.
  11. Yeah, what happened to Brady?
  12. I personally think it’s a bit ridiculous to say people 20 years ago had anything to do with the culture in place now.
  13. We already did it last year. He's improved and I expect him to continue to improve - regardless of if we're able to bring in a ringer this year.
  14. This is the $hittiest $hit post that's ever been shat. Who hurt you?
  15. As long as he isn't, it should be fine. I'm sure MOS wants him to kick something early to get that confidence rolling again.
  16. Game day tomorrow. Although the excitement will wane when Legs is trotted out for a FG and we get "toldyasos" from whichever crowd feels they were proven right.
  17. I see two clear limits: 1. He is not being trotted out for long FGs. We punt instead. If the coaching staff had faith (ie. Medlock) he would make some attempts here and there. 2. He gets in his own head. When he misses one, he misses multiple (ie. The BC and Montreal games this year).
  18. The thing is, I don’t think anyone is arguing with you in this point. but right now, in 2022, he has limitations that could cost us a chance at three-peating. I don’t see any reason to make a move that helps us in the present while also continuing to develop Legs for the future.
  19. Did he though? High yards and no TDs? Scored 16 points?
  20. I get it, but the close relationship between fans and players has been a unique and cool feature of the CFL. It's always been fun and created some of the best moments. It's a shame to be trending towards the distance and coldness of the NFL.
