Looking ahead to the Banjo Bowl
blueingreenland replied to White Out's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Yup. I was sitting right in front where that happened. I thought for sure a flag would be thrown. Nope. Thanks refs! (Hopefully the refs do some payback and have some calls go out way this weekend). -
Labour Day Classic GAMEDAY THREAD

Guys on 620 and 650 radio out here in Saskatchewan kept saying it was a clean hit. Arash Madani came on and said it was an intentional and dirty hit for which the player should have received a penalty and an ejection. Glenn Suitor also said it was a dirty hit (and he sits in on the rules committee meetings.) -

I'm guessing you're saying that because Craig coaches the Saskies...but honestly I have learned to gain respect for Craig Dickinson. He is honest, straight- forward, and humble. Dave Dickenson on the only hand, is arrogant, whiny, and bitchy. I know they have the same last name, I'm just not sure they are related... -
Chris Streveler - Has your opinion changed?
blueingreenland replied to B-F-F-C's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I disagree with the 2nd part of your post - I think Nichols needs Harris (in fact I've argued that Harris has been both a blessing and a curse for Nichols - because he depends on him so much). However, I agree that (from what I've seen) Streveler will be a dynamic 2nd string QB, but may never be a good #1. I hope I'm wrong. -
Agreed. But coach Ritchie doesn't coach the offense...check the stats

I checked Ticketmaster a few hours ago and it seemed like there were quite a few singles left...but that was about it. Hopefully it'll be a sell out -
The Bombers may or may not win one with him as DC, but he's already won 3 Grey Cups...1 as a player and 2 as a coach.

Yes. We didn't have much of an answer for the Rider pressure. We did miss Harris -

Riders are a good team. The Labour Day Regina game is THE hardest regular season game to win all year. Streveler did okay. He needs to clean up his game for the Banjo Bowl. -

Yeah. I saw that right away. If that call gets made correctly, game likely ends differently. -
Bombers release Chris Matthews
blueingreenland replied to trueBlue83's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
We got lots of speed on offense. What we need is a big tall receiver who can go up and make the catch... oh, nevermind -
That's a good idea. It's pretty easy to confuse Rider fans anyways.

Moose Jaw's 45 minutes from Regina. The Spa hotel is pretty nice. They got mineral water piped in there
-
Anybody know if the Bombers still stay at the SPA in Moose Jaw...or in Regina? Milt was on the radio in SK yesterday talking about the days the Bombers stayed in Regina and some stupid Rider fans woke up Milt and Khari at 3 a.m. and they never got back to sleep and the Bombers got blown out so coach Ritchie said "No more of that. We're going to Moose Jaw from now on."

2019 CFL Season: Around the League

(and then is signed by them) heh heh -
Santiago must feel pretty bummed out. No Way he's ever going to get onto this roster.

You can marry them... ...just don't send them $

Yes, I do too! That's why I want the guy around for many more years!!

Quite possible. I've already heard from reporters in Saskatchewan, Calgary, and Toronto who say they likely won't vote for Harris. -
I'm nervous for the game. Everything's against us. We should lose by 40... ...but if we can make some big plays - returns, sacks (Fajardo meet Mr. Jefferson), picks, or even some big runs by the Strevelator...we might just do it.

I'd swear that guy has gotten bigger the last few years. If he isn't careful he'll be a heart-attack waiting to happen.

Bombers release Chris Matthews
blueingreenland replied to trueBlue83's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
It's sort of the chicken and egg argument again buddy. He had terrible talent to deal with. If he had great talent, who knows what could have happened. Maybe he was a bad head coach. I don't know. But when you have a great QB and lots of talent you can make even a bad coach look decent. (Heh, even I could have coached the Gretzky-led Edmonton Oilers to multiple Stanley Cups) -

Agreed. And we would have cut him too! -
Bombers release Chris Matthews

Adams is needed on this team. But even before his injury he wasn't in the top 10 in receiving in the league. -

Well, as others have said, the way our offense is structured NO offensive player is going to be a big production player in this offense (except Andrew Harris). Rightly or wrongly, it is what it is.
