  1. This sounds familiar, like I've read it before... did you just steal this directly from a Penton article? Should probably at least give credit where it's due...
  2. They still have Labatte, Best, Emry, Getzlaf, Bagg, Messam... Pretty good core of Canadians. That core is pretty thin after LaBatte and Best... Getzlaf and Bagg are on the wrong side of 30, Emry is coming off a down year and Messam is ok at best... I would say we would rank pretty close with Sask, Edm, Mtl and Tor... Mtl's biggest NI strength is that they start 5 O-lineman... Cats and Stamps are far ahead of everyone...
  3. I can't a have a ton of sympathy for him... you hear about 5th string RBs in the NFL camps that miss one block or drop one fumble and they're done... that's the reality of being 5th string... you're an extreme long shot... if they had brought in one of the Americans from mini camp and the same thing happened, would this be a story??
  4. some fans: "I'M OUTRAGED WE HAVE NO VETERANS ON DEFENSE!" *Bombers sign veteran DB/LB* same fans: "THIS GUY IS TOO OLD AND HE'S USELESS! I KNOW BETTER THAN THE TEAM!"
  5. Maybe he was hoping he'd get a call from the Bombers if there were some TC injuries... But anyways that was a great message from Vega... very classy move... I was disappointed when we released him... from a personal perspective... I understood if from a football perspective...
  6. He's only a couple inches shorter than Jamaal Westerman. Latanzio: 6' 260 lbs - Westerman: 6'3" 260 lbs. Imo, he is small for a DT in the CFL but certainly not for a DE and he got a motor for it. Have anyone seen him lined up as DE during TC? I think 6 feet is fairly generous...
  7. Bombers coulda drafted Maxx Forde in round 4, 5, or 6 this year if they had an interest in him
  8. It's almost like O'Shea and his staff know more than a bunch of randoms on a fan site... no, that can't be right...
  9. Als - don't think either team is very good but the Als are a bit better... Stamps - Hammy looks like they're probably the 2nd best team in the CFL this year... unfortunately they play the best week 1 Esks - hard to bet on the argos Bombers - homer pick??... ABSOLUTELY!
  10. I guess that's point of Ryan Smith, 23 (rider fans, known never to exaggerate, calling him the next Dressler)... and Demski, 22...
  11. Brohm gets no love around here. So he must've thrown for 10,000 inaccurate yards at Louisville. Ended up being nominated for a Heisman even though he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Was drafted 56th overall in the NFL draft because he was always overthrowing or underthrowing his receivers who always ran the perfect route and never dropped a catchable ball. What is it that you are seeing about Brohm's "accuracy" that the scouts and coaches at Green Bay and the Bills (and Danny McManus) missed? Brohm's college stats mean he gets chances to play pro. Other than that, they no longer mean anything. The NFL's already decided they don't want him even as a 3rd string QB because the NFL scouts and coaches found his game wanting. Brohm's our 2nd string QB. His accuracy leaves a lot to be desired. No... thats not the same as 'can't hit the broadside of a barn', nor does it mean his receivers are always running perfect routes. It means he isn't throwing on time on target enough to move up the ranks. Willy's style is similar, but his accuracy is better. I'm no Brohm hater... but I agree completely with this.. As for Marve... I know a lot of technical side of his game leaves a lot to be desired... but man that guy is fun to watch... I realize you can't rely on your legs all the time, but he just finds ways to get it done and I feel like he will find ways to win... I really hope he improves his pocket presence this year and sticks around as the back up next year...
  12. Am I crazy to think that maybe with a little more seasoning our best LB group might be... Waggoner - Bass - Burnett I just think all 3 of these guys need more CFL experience...
  13. I tend to think Waggoner might get the call due to versatility and Thomas may be the guy sitting... or Briggs, but I know they like him a lot too... It will be interesting to see the week 1 depth chart... so nice not desperately struggling to find seven nats decent enough to start on game day!
  14. Injury??... I was actually just thinking the other day... do the Bombers dress Thomas, Westerman and Brown on game days?... will there be any import back ups on the DL?
  15. This is why I think Neufeld may be expendable after this year if he doesn't prove to be reliable... maybe we draft another OL 9th overall next year... ... and he is a versitile 6th man to replace Neufeld... I see where you're going with that, but I believe we gave up our 1st round pick for Waggoner. Ah yes I forgot... well there is usually still a decent O-lineman at 18... right?
  16. yeah I know the blue bastard... friend of a friend... actually knew him before I knew he was blue bastard, haha... but anyways, I suspect he'll be here for the GC...
  17. This is why I think Neufeld may be expendable after this year if he doesn't prove to be reliable... maybe we draft another OL 9th overall next year... ... and he is a versitile 6th man to replace Neufeld...
  18. I'm fairly sure they don't leave until the game is over... I took it a few times over the past two years... Luckily I have a friend who lives off of University, so I can park in his driveway, about a 15 min walk...
  19. Sounds like you just did For 4 or 5 of my first years as a ST holder I was in school, and living on my own... so I get the cash crunch... I managed... endzone tickets and sneaking whiskey into every game certainly helped... (which one looks more like a drunk guy face??)
  20. I think if Neufeld is healthy he can be a very valuable 6th OL based on his versatility... that being said, he's being paid like a starter so if he doesn't prove to be a consistent starter this year I suspect he will not be around in 2016...
  21. Fun little personal interview... I wonder if they plan to do a regular feature with different players throughout the year...
  22. I think they're going with imports at both tackle spots... so that leaves LaBatte, Watman, Best and Clark ahead of him on the depth chart... they would need 2 injuries for Hinse to start...
  23. Should we start a discussion about how deep and insightful the most recent Darren Cameron blog was...
  24. Not sure if it's been mentioned... but I'm pretty sure Montreal and Ottawa made their announcements after us... and they're an hour ahead of us!
