Not one cent of Federal money should be put into this.

If we're moving on from the Gauthiers, Millers etc on special teams, a vet guy like Thomas to play specials and spell off the occasional play at DT for Lawson isn't a bad thing, even if the plan is still to bring in a NAT DE (Kongbo) as well.
One of Lawson and Kongbo playing 85% of the snaps on the DL with Thomas and Anthony Bennett playing the other 15% isn't the end of the world.
We're not moving on from Miller.....he's actually going to be coaching special teams....and if we can sign Kongbo and Mason Bennett in fa, that would be a huge D Line get

Nice pick up and should add some nice scoring punch....Monahan was looking at going to a contender, we are definitely that, and I hope take us deep into the playoffs as a solid Cup contender...Good move

Nah man. This guy was done last year. If it’s more than 5 snaps a game it’s pointless. This one makes me wonder. Just a dumb signing.
Not dumb IF you're aim is to retain ol vets so you can stick with the status quo....and that's what this smells like....Big hearted Osh ...but that ain't smart football

Milt said something the other day about thinking that Oliveira is going to be in BC this year... not sure exactly why he thinks BC specifically, but... for what it's worth, anyhow......
Maybe looking at his ni status, otherwise you'd think they'd be in on Ouelette...more bang for your buck

I think the Bombers will have more than enough to sign the players that they really want to be here, does that include Brady and Schoen time will tell but for sure one of them is coming back
I don't see why we can't offer Schoen a contract similar to what Begelton signed for in Cal....a 3 yr. deal with substantial increases spread over that span...Also with the Streveler, signing you just know that our remaining fa's are looking at that in a very positive light ... That could be enough to encourage a few guys to want to stick around

Probably said no to Sask., been there done that, ain't going back.
yup....they'll be scrambling to fix their non-existant o line ....could be casting their gazes this way ...but if Bladek scorned them ,that says a lot to the remaining fa guys AND that would be to stay the hell away from greenland

140k and people are complaining? That's not a high contract.
have to agree.....the guy was playing for peanuts last year and I don't see the two yr. deal is that exorbitant

We will never get younger or find the next guy if we keep with all the veterans, especially when the price get's into the upper echelon, you can only afford so many of them.
There is something to be said for continuity AND then there's a time for change....Sometimes it's a blurred thin line between the two...That's when great management comes to the fore and sound decisions have to be made...Parting ways with vets. that you know have had their day in the sun has to be a priority ...Tough to see a guy like Jeffcoat playing somewhere else but when it's time ....it's time.. AND I think it's time Walters makes that call

Yup....they need a younger visionary type...who's hip to what's going on in the world now
Have an asst commish who is an older CFL vet to maintain and guide with culture and history to the youngin
Young blood would be like giving us a transfusion and a new life.....but it's hard to get some old croc's to move over

Two weeks and a whole lot of signin' to do....The big two ....Brady and Dalton aren't doing us any favours by taking us to the edge of the cliff...IF they want to frig around then they better crap or get off the pot so we know where we're headed....FIFO showing cracks???

I bet Brady O is driving a hard bargain ...contract wise AND I bet we're prepared to provide him with a good deal....I would only hope that he lessens his expectations about wanting to set a new benchmark for rb's in the league....Looking at some of the other teams 'stars' taking less to make other signings more palatable for their club, says a lot and runs counter to wanting to set a new benchmark for yourself....Will he remain FIFO or will he move on to secure a more lucrative position ??..His choice and I hope he makes the right decision....that to remain in BlueNGold....We should hear something shortly

Former big mouthed, arrogant & entitled Ottawa GM who Karma caught up to. I'll never forgive him mocking how bad the Bomber players were in the Expansion Draft. Asshat.
Yeah, that was him.
Forgot about the former Ottawa GM.....He definitely was lacking as a manager...Seem to come across as a know-it-all and rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.....hence his departure...I apologize to Drew Desjarlis for mixing his name up with the long departed gm....I have to go stand in the corner now

Two things I noticed
1 - The guy seemed to sling it effortlessly almost like he was flicking his wrist and the ball flew out 40 yards. It appears that he has a really strong arm.
2 - I could never watch a full game being played on red turf. That is so hard on the eyes.
He definitely has a very good arm...can run and looks to have a lot of potential...AND I agree about that red turf.....Ugly comes to mind but the kid looks great playing on it....Can't wait to see Barriere show his stuff on our green field

Sure hope you're right. I could see us going with Zach-Strev-Barriere this season.
I'm of the same mind....Prukop becomes expendable with Streve (assumption) coming on board and we need a developmental product , and this Barriere kid looks like he has the credentials
