To add a somber note, we are going to going into the new season with a defensive coordinator who is controversial (to put it mildly) and the likelihood of the same linebacking concerns as last year. Yes, Muamba is still hovering there, just out of reach but not sight, but if we have to suffer with Hall again, we desperately need a major upgrade at MLB plus either Leggett bouncing back to his old form or a clone of him.

The fact that you can post a coherent statement automatically disqualifies you from posing as a Rider fan.

Its not that Reed has had CFL experience as an MLB, as important as that is- its also that he has been a good solid player whereas JSK has yet to make his bones. JSK may well be as good or better, but his resume in the CFL is a lot thinner.

No doubt that JSK has the athleticism, but I think that the experience of playing middle linebacker is hard won and should not be discounted. That is the argument for picking up an veteran MLB like Reed or Woods who have played a few years in the CFL and can call the proper defensive sets. Reed is a prototypical MLB and hits a ton. If the Bombers can sign him, that would be great. He is still in his prime.

BTW, disgruntled is what happens to a pig when it becomes bacon. From my point of view, if the Bombers are going to go FA on a middle linebacker, the choices appear to be down to either Taylor Reed or Henoc Muamba. The signing of Roh appears to make one of the Bomber veteran ends expendable, so maybe the money will be there to sign Muamba. I do not recall Roh being a dominant End but serviceable.

Beyond that, everything is a go?
