  1. Yup. I do hope that Nichols/LaPolice do not restrict themselves to a low-risk offense- that would allow defences to key in on those plays. There have to be stretch plays thrown in there as well to shake things up.
  2. Well, yes. After all, they are undefeated int he regular season to date.
  3. Perhaps Jesus will be looking after the (punt) returning?
  4. Willy was/is a good guy but got beaten up too many times and didn't have the ego-strength to rebound.
  5. It was good while it lasted. It will be interesting to see how well he fares this year in Regina with a suspect D-line in front of him.
  6. Even in the last game, when Glenn got sacked for the first time, the following play , he started demonstrating his choreography. Over at Riderfans, criticism disguised as confusion and disappointment is beginning to surface. Several posters were even saying that this was what they had expected from Jones. Heresy abounds.
  7. Well, well. It appears that Jones' master plan is going perfectly. Moving from head-shaking to guffaws right to belly laughs.
  8. I think Walters missed the boat with Alex Singleton. He seems to be doing very well in Calgary.
  9. Overall absolutely, but it remains to be seen if Hurl will be our undoing. It will take a lot of lane discipline from the front four to compensate.
  10. I have read that Kaepernick became a vegan about a year ago and since then he has lost both weight and about 20% of his strength. If true, this would make him a lot more vulnerable to being injured and take a lot off his tosses.
  11. I don't know if it was the quality of the resistance that the Riders put up, but the Lions sure as spit looked like a team that was going to challenge the Stamps for first place overall in the league. If this is true, then O'Shea and Walters had better bring their A-game this season because the Esks do not look like pushovers, either.
  12. I suspect that the Riders are going to experience first-hand what we went through with Kelly and Burke.
  13. I was rooting for Butcher, but either you have the right stuff or you don't.
  14. Sounds to me that Poop outplayed Okapalaugo
  15. The point is that Okpalaugo is earning a big dollar and hasn't stood out for two games now. The money could be better spent elsewhere-ie: MLB.
  16. I have not been a fan of Hurl. If he is standing in the right spot and the play comes to him, he can cope. He doesn't seem to be able to recognize the unfolding play in time to flow to the right spot. If Poop Johnson is as good as or better than Okapalaugo, there's money to saved there, and maybe we can trade him for a good MLB.
  17. Was listening to John Hodge interview on 1290 this afternoon on way home. Hodge opined that the Bomber O-line was probably the best in the league, that Poop Johnson way outplayed Okapalaugo (making Okapalaugo expendable?) and that Hurl did poorly at MLB with Knox only marginally better if at all. He also had concerns about the Bombers defence in general.
  18. Doesn't look to be too many surprises this year in camp.
  19. No complaint on Liggins. He showed some promise but no consistency, and we appear to be good at Import receiver positions.
  20. Thank God that at least one of the local media cares enough to expend a bit of effort to cover the Bombers.
  21. ^ looks pretty accurate, but I sure there will be a surprise or two.
  22. I'm not sure that the recap is worth the effort to click on the link.
  23. Bass was very good as a WIL but he didn't seem to be able to grasp the duties of a middle linebacker and was often behind the play.
