Wow! On the TiCat TD kick return, a TiCat player blew right past both the Alouette pursuers and the TiCat escorts. The TiCat player was so amazingly fast that I had to check who it was during the replay. Turns out it was Bomber reject receiver Mitchell. He may not have the hands or the smarts, but lordy, he is FAST!

There may be a joker int he deck here. If you were Dalton, apart from the money, would you want to come back to this dreadful offence?

Agree, BUT no one can win with this lot of receivers combined with the offensive game plans we have seen thus far. And our defence cannot get off the field.

Again, I do not know what Booch and others know about line play, but from my perspective, it seemed that there was more confusion on our O-line than getting put on the ground or on roller skates. That would seem to be either players trying to compensate for an inept player (like Pat Neufeld did for Kolankowski) or poor coaching. Broxton seemed to be walking with a normal gait, so I think that was a good sign. Gotta do something about both Elsbury and Bryant, though.

If the players are not putting out, it is up to the coaches to sit them out, replace, or threaten them. Over the past 2-3 years, the coaches, through their lack of involvement seem to have shown the players that this is good enough. It is not.

Rooting for the Lions, actually, but that was a dirty shot by Lions' Mc Kenna and deserving of an ejection.

As much as I was able, I looked at Eli's ankles for extra spatting- could not see any such. That would seem to indicate that his ankles are just fine, and as a non-pro, he looked to be doing better than Elsbury. And he ought to get better with repetition, if O'Shea deigns to favour him.

I sincerely doubt if O'Shea is capable of changing his M.O. He is either incapable of recognizing the problems or chooses to ignore them.

Agreed, for the most part, but Walters has overseen this deterioration for 2 or 3 years now without intervening. Why he cannot see what the majority here in this forum have seen is beyond me. Whether he could not see it or chose not to intervene amounts to the same dereliction of duty and his continued presence is a major detriment. The unanswered question is who replaces O'Shea and/or Walters.

After the Roman army had a disastrous loss, the commanders would go into the ranks and take out and publicly execute 10 soldiers. This is where we get the expression "decimated" from. They rarely lost two battles in a row. People are still people, even now. Over the past two and half years, the Bomber players and coaches have repeatedly been given the message that half-hearted efforts and losses are acceptable. That has to change. Bring out the tumbrels.

FWIW: My penetrating insights into the Friday night debacle: Dru did not look like a premier quarterback, but he was sabotaged by wimpy receivers, a porous O-line and an offensive game plan right out of a rec league. When Broxton went out, we were doomed already, and it made little difference. We are in real trouble, and a crossover playoff berth is our best hope. If Bo-Levi returns, we're scrooged. I had hope that Walters could redeem himself, but it looks like a complete housecleaning is in order. The coaching overall is so bad that it is difficult to assess the talent on this team, but what is there ain't great. It looks like we are about six players away from being competitive. One more outing at home like this and there is gonna be a lot of empty seats in the stadium.

Not sure he had any real choices. The defence was throwing up their skirts at almost every play and Calgary had all the intermediate stuff covered, so it was 4 yard dump passes or hail Marys. And I suspect his market value is now approximately that of Corcoran.

I was one of those, but I hold to my opinion. Collaros is too expensive to be a bench warmer, too brittle to play, and arguably worse than Brown.

Dru has a lot of chicken feathers out there, on offence and defence with an expectation to make chicken cordon bleu. Ain't gonna happen. One more disastrous outing like this and we will be able to see the playoffs sailing over the horizon.

Bombers are gonna lose but it will not be Dru's fault. All things considered, he has played very well.
