The NFL, NBA, MLB and even the NHL head offices all take an active interest and, where needed, an active role in the mangement of the teams. Owners who do not follow the established protocols for running teams are harassed. The CFL doesn't have that kind of leverage, but it would be nice to see them follow an established, successful model.

Hard to tell what goes on behind closed doors, so all we have to go on is demonstrated behaviours, and so far, its business as ususal. Rinse and repeat.

Mace's saving grace, at least for now, is that his predecessor was so bad that Mace looks and sounds better by comparison and has the onerous task of changing the team culture.

I thought that O'Shea and possibly our GM would have had the riot act read to them after the debacle of the last Grey Cup, but there is no visiblle change in the M.O. of the management of the team so far. Walter & Co. have done a decent job of recruiting, so may warrant a bit more slack. O'Shea will keep doing what he is doing the way he is doing it until he is fired or quits.

You may wish to rethink that statement in light of the Rider starting QB is Maier now.

Tell that to Donald Trump and Jeff Bezos.

Agreed- Wallace took most of the first half to get settled in, but got better as the game progressed. If we cannot pressure the opposing quarterback, everything suffers.

In watching the game, I was impressed by the velocity, and range and of most of the passes Bethel-Thompson and Mitchell threw. A real contrast to many of Collaros' throws.
