  1. I am betting that Hogan will be here ad infinitum. And yes, that game was very discouraging despite the prediction that the Bombers would inevitably lose. That may have been the best effort we will see for the rest of the year.
  2. As much of a difference as Mitchell made last night.
  3. This team knows they are not good enough- almost top to bottom and any lead they have is ephemeral.
  4. Nor did he make a difference, either. He was not the reason the offence was flaccid, but not an upgrade.
  5. PS: it would seem that the receiver that was added to the roster today is not the answer to the problems at receiver.
  6. Whatever the Bombers had going for them in the first half completely evaporated in the second. There was no enthusiasm when they got back onto the field. I suspect that the players knew what many in this forum knew all along- that the Stamps were going to take over the game and the coaches would have no answer in either the defence or the offense and nay half-time adjustments would be purely theoretical.
  7. I did so because I do not see Collaros as significantly better than Streveler, and definitely not the saviour of the season.
  8. Rourke starting to live up to his advance billing. An entertaining game, no matter who won.
  9. Agree that if the Bombers lose badly or lose at all on Saturday, the ship should hit the sand, but I doubt that it will. Hope is not an effective stratagem.
  10. Heresy! Haven't you heard of papal/O'Shea infallibility?
  11. Seems to have good hands and good speed but no burst off the line and doesn't seem to break tackles well.
  12. I would be cautious about cheering that Big Stan is coming back. He is a year older, his conditioning is likely off plus who knows what lingering effects of the injury will be? Improving the. LT position without upgrading Center is equivalent to plugging a small hole in the boat while ignoring the biggest one is just plain stoopid.
  13. Not a Smurf but not overly tall, either. If Oliviera is to be effective, we need to have better blocking at guard and center as teams are clogging up the middle on us. To me, it would be a helluva lot easier and quicker to replace Kolankowski as his ineptness affects the inside run game and also makes life a lot harder for Neufeld and Wallace.
  14. Don't drag religion into this.

  16. The real question here is: "Which one is O'Shea's kind of guy?"
  17. A well-posed argument, but we will see if it holds this month.
  18. NOT gonna want to watch those games. But I probably will (sigh). I think it will be the Riders and TiCats rubbing our noses in it.
  19. Plus: we don't know if the receivers are running the routes properly or if the play called takes advantage of opposition weaknesses. We do have pretty good proof that damned few of our receivers are disposed to fight for 50-50 balls.
  20. There are certain personalities who, when forced to take an action not chosen by then, will do what is forced on them but will do it in a fashion that sabotages any benefit. Then they can say "See? I did it and it didn't work just like I said". I see O'Shea as doing this passive/aggressive crap.
  21. Disagree to an extent. Talent in its prime can compensate for inept coaching and roster management for a time but inevitably you see what we saw for the past 2+ seasons. We yahoos in this forum saw it and commented on it but we were voices crying in the wilderness.
  22. Agreed that Streveler did not look like a legit #2 QB, let a lone a starter and his throwing mechanics are odd at the least. The question for me is how in Hell did he last as long in the NFL?
  23. Corcoran just sorta got in the way
  24. Lofton hasn't looked bad at LT.
