This is how dumb society has become.

    RACISM! RACISM EVERYWHERE!

Listen to the intelligent words of Morgan Freeman.  Want to stop racism?  'stop talking about it'.  There is no system in place to keep black people down in America.  (unless you're talking about Democrat-run cities)

The opposite is true.  They are MANY programs and institutions whose sole purpose is to further black people in society.

This will become a bigger issue as genetics are identifiable early.  When they can tell you you're child will be gay, then what?  Or hey, you wanted a tall baby with blond hair but your child will be short and have brown hair...then what.  Or hey, we can manipulate genes to alter your baby in the womb.

Anyway, I agree, Im against abortion too but the genie isnt going back in the bottle.  But having an abortion shouldn't be easy.  It should be treated like the grave decision it really is.  In my humble opinion.  And late stage abortion *should* be illegal.  It simply should not be allowed.

And before you know it, Brave New World isn't so far-fetched..........How disgusting it would be to have a baby assembly line where traits are manipulated.

There was some debate about selective abortions in this thread earlier and the issue has been in the news again over the last couple days with Iceland "eradicating" Down Syndrome, i.e. aborting all fetuses who show signs of the condition.

What are everyone's thoughts on this, and to relate it back to this thread, should this kind of thing be allowed in Canada?

One:   It is allowed in Canada. We are the only Western country to have no law regarding abortion at all.  If you can find a Dr. to 'abort' your baby at 8 and a half months, then you're all set.

Two: should it be allowed? Tricky.   I am 100% against abortion, especially abortions of convenience. Should it be illegal? No, I don't think so. I believe we all must choose for ourselves in the end.  that doesn't mean I think we should encourage it either.   God gave us free will, people will use it for good or evil.  If someone chooses to kill their baby, they will answer for it either by depression or what lies beyond.

Three:  It is a investigated fact that people with Down Syndrome are by far the happiest identifiable group on Earth.   What a waste it would be to snuff that out.

But Canada is different than the US. We promote diversity .. We accept it...

Diversity is strength. Who cares when they started it.. Its the truth. Its what makes Canada and the CFL great.

I don't want to start a whole thing, but diversity for the the sake of it doesn't make anything stronger.  It's just a buzzword for virtue signallers.

Actual strength and good morals makes us better, not diversity.   Strength makes us stronger.

I believe in merit. .....not virtue signalling to make a quick buck and make yourselves look good.

    OK I'm good.

Which is very sad.  Then again, some think the earth is flat.  Which can lead to a lot of divisiveness.  Also, we live in a world where the President of the United States feels both sides in the Nazi's vs Non-Nazi debate were at fault.

It's not Nazi's v. non-Nazis.  It's Nazis v. Communists, and in that fight you don't choose sides.  This is what befell 1930's Germany.  The Nazis (left-wing national socialists) played off the people's fear of the communists.

The neo-Nazis and AntiFa are both violent, extremist losers who are nothing but trouble for society.

In a battle of fascists (AntiFa act more like fascists than anyone) and Nazis, both need to be hit by an asteroid.

We need to acknowledge violence by all who propagate it.

It is incredible that it is 2017 and there still people this ignorant... a lot of people, sadly...

There has actually been attempts to normalize pedophilia.

Salon.com had not one, but two articles on how we should 'understand pedophiles'.  They have since removed it, probably because they received angry mail I hope.  Other articles were written saying Salon should not have removed it.

There's almost always a story behind the story and if so, we won't hear about it for months. It is a surprise, though. Whatever it is, that he didn't get a shot to reclaim his job is not good optics.

I don't have a problem with losing their jobs to injury.  That's the game.  If that guy who fills in establishes himself and has an upside, then go with it.

I'm a Patriots fan as well.....so I'm all for injury job taking   Mwahahaha

  8. All of our penalties were warranted and deserved.  Multiple 'hands to the face' and a holding call where our onlineman arm barred a defender.

We had many more penalties the ott but not really bogus.

And, Rod Black mentioned during the game that the Bombers, going into this week, were the LEAST penalized team in the cfl .  I found it hard to believe but he's he man looking at the stats.

Kickoff at 5pm out west here, and I work till 6. Debating if I should watch the first Q at work, then bolt home......stay in blackout mode till 6pm, and then start the PVR from the beginning......or just ditch outta work an hour early and take the chance on wrath of boss......decisions, decisions.....

As for the game itself, I think Medlock might be key tonight. If he is healthy (I'm still not sure) and can get back to normal, he could be the decider. If he's still hurting or just in a funk or whatever....could really hurt us. It'll be a tight game...

I'm in the same boat. Downtown Calgary.   I'd vote to pvr, don't answer texts and start fresh at home.  no commercials!

You don't mess with the chemistry between a holder and kicker. If Dressler can hold, he should do it.

I disagree, there's gotta someone else who can do it and not be a waste of a roster spot.

Most QB's can do it.  or another sure handed wr

How do you figure the Montreal D was gassed at that point in the game?  They should have had plenty left in the tank considering the extremely lopsided time of possession.

They weren't gassed at the end.  The first of the TD drives they backed off and played soft as if the game was over, textbook 'foot off the gas pedal'.

Then on the game winning drive they were simply stunned from the onside kick.
