O'Shea believes Bombers better than their record
LeBird replied to Fatty Liver's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I listened to the Coach's Show on Monday and there was one subject that came up often. The callers were asking what he planned to do about Marcel Bellefeuille. In true MOS style he covered the subject pretty much the same way he had done re: Keale all of last year. No problem with Marcel, he's very intelligent and a valuable coach. Being stubborn MOS will possibly stick with MB until they both get fired. Healthy we have a decent team but right now we have a bunch of guys pretty well working when they feel like it not fearing any consequences. -
Mr Walters: What has Ottawa done that you have not?
LeBird replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I don't think Calgary were always healthy on the OL. When we played them they were using a DL on the line because they had run out of healthy guys. Pretty sure he meant Ottawa's Oline has been healthy... Calgary and Ottawa have had healthy QB's all season. -

Great news. I would think now Henoc becomes more of a ratio changer. It would be great to have him but now the cost becomes more of a factor.

Henoc on his way to Hamilton & Toronto for visit

Yeah but that guy could plug that big hole in the middle of the ship in one hell of a hurry. Voila! radio guy, cancel the SOS. -
Do you mean a smooth operator? or someone a little rough around the edges? It's the hat...It's the hat!

I really can't figure out why we would consider Murphy. At some point the Board of Directors will have to realize you take a big chance when you hire rookies to do a job. You don't even know if they have the talent and for sure no experience. How many businesses do you know became very successful with a complete management set of rookies? You just have to look at our results over the last five years. The money we have wasted paying off contracts would have bought us some experienced and proven personnel. This year is most likely another write-off. It's pointless to blame the coaches and general managers because they were asked to do what they were not capable of doing mostly because of the lack of experience but also because of a lack of talent. Then again, we missed out on our choices of picks and FA's over they years. Just my opinion

Tweeted to MB. Tweeted back his butt was on fire. How relevant is that?

Do you honestly think people would be there if it was guaranteed there would be no crashes. Check the highlights of the race. First you see the crashes then eventually the winner getting the checkered though that would have been the most important part of the race. I don't think IC is happy Collaros got hurt, it's more directed to the fact Austin will not strut around like he's the smartest coach if without his QB. Now... Cheering at the Riders' lost would be more like cheering at a train wreck but wait, it is.

It's time for the Riders to start sucking ...
LeBird replied to IC Khari's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
When a QB who has to get around with a cane when no one is watching puts up over 500 yards of offence on your team the only thing you can say to explain it is the suckage. That error on the timeout sure shows the lack of mental readiness of guys on the field. Call a timeout when the clock isn't running? That would be like calling a running play when you're in a six pack. -
And more importantly which Winnipeg Resturant is it ?Yeah, come on we all want this info too...Sorry guys I didn't hear the end of their convo. So, exactly why are you going to the practices? If we want football information we will read Mike, lets remind you your job is to get us the e-talk info and not only the teaser stuff!!!!!

With FIFA, AC/DC, Semi Finals and the Grey Cup we should do OK for this year. I knew Jim Bell was an accountant but did not know Buchko could count.

Henoc on his way to Hamilton & Toronto for visit

You're assuming there would be a next year on Henoc's contract. If it's just a six game deal do you even bother? -

Montreal was suffering from the AC shock in the first part of the year but ended 9-9. Saskatchewan don't have the horses and are trying to make the Mike Kelly/Bishop experiment work for them. If Dyce can win some games he might remove the interim tag then hope to use next year to rebuild. When will they ever learn? You can buy short term success and that's what you get. -
Henoc on his way to Hamilton & Toronto for visit
LeBird replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Both the Montreal tour stop and meeting up with Bombers while there, both posted yesterday.... ...But yes....indeed........Oops! Old news travels fast. last stop? travels back with kyle walters perhaps? That makes sense. Would you commit to a team if you had the chance of being wined and dined by a mess of other teams? I mean this guy is no dummy, he did go to college. In Regina it was mostly whined and old napkin buffet. -

If he is a Christian, I would be worried. Why? You've never heard the claims about Christians being thrown to the lions in ancient Roman times (it never actually happened but lots of people think it did). And Henoc is a devout Christian. Christians were, in fact fed to the lions at the colloseum in Rome, along with other captives from foreign lands, criminals and rebels. Animals were also pitted against each other as well, and gladiators fought each other, too. But the "Christians" got their revenge. When Constantine converted to Christianity (sort of), and made it the official religion of the Roman empire, the newly minted Christians cheerfully began to toss pagans into the arena. The more things change, the more they remain the same. How true that is. Nowdays the faux-christians are now dressed in green are are fed to travelling gladiators who maul them to a point where they curse their gods and destroy their contracts. They even spend days scribing on their slate but unfortunately their lamentations go unanswered.

Simmons, Nichols, Cole, Boyd. Walters hasn't hurt himself. Forgot bass, leggett, westermann.. & Capers. Miller must have turned him loose With a bucket of honey

Ouch! So, the Bombers made one error in the selections of their QB's and some guys never forget it?

Austin bumps Stala - pays $5,000 fine

This one of those 'surely the guy had to know better' but Austin riding the crest must have thought he was entitled to some liberties. What an example for his team. -
Did all receivers wear No.6? That is some player.

Odds and Sods - Game 11 Banjo Bowl - Riders at Bombers...
LeBird replied to do or die's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Thanks for the very good recap. I was at a wedding. Got a recap at the half and at the end of the game. However, I got to meet Capers and his Mrs. at the airport on Thursday. They were sitting with my daughter on their way from Edmonton. -
Lawless: Chill Out, Let Miller & Co Do Their Jobs
LeBird replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Because they proved it with success on the field. Hoping these lead bars will turn to gold is truly insane That success didn't come overnight. It was built on a foundation that was years in the making. Because they proved it with success on the field. Hoping these lead bars will turn to gold is truly insane That success didn't come overnight. It was built on a foundation that was years in the making. This is where I don't agree. Hamilton was able to turn it around in a few years, Ottawa for pete's sake is likely better than us. I realize we lost our starter but there should not be that such difference between starter and backup. We got beat last Sunday by a third stringer. That is the responsibility of the guys who were tasked to assemble a good team. I don't like where we are but am willing to give them another year to get it done. Many have said they needed three years so OK Kyle and Mike, please.....
