  1. This year is basically done so what do we gain by replacing him? Saskatchewan replaced Milo because he was having a bad year. This year he is 12 of 15 (80%) so were the Riders too quick? Bowman could not snag a ball here even if we had covered him with stick'em. Seems to be just fine for the Eskimoes. I'm not happy at all with the way he played his game but he has shown his worth at one time. If he had NFL aspirations he might do well to put them aside and start worrying about his job. Maybe he's is having personal problems, who knows.
  2. Like the rest of the Bombers he was unable to deal with adversity. Go figure. I think there is something in the man we can salvage. Even goalies have terrible games and they're paid a lot more.
  3. man alive, you hate everyone not named willy amirite? nichols did enough for this team to win vs a VERY good edmonton team. our piece of garbage kicker left 10 on the board. should be a W. Nichols was great. Don't we play 60 minutes anymore?
  4. Montreal with Cato = Winnipeg with Brohm. The guy has gone off-track. With a QB that only attempts 17 passes in a game you ain't going to get far. Then add the injuries, a short week and this is what you get.
  5. Geez guys, make up your minds. So basically, you want us to win but still play crappy? You keep your reputation and we still get a chance at the play offs. Everybody wins
  6. It would have been nice to have him but in this case I think the club did well in not going $225/year deep for him. With Wild back he should at least minimize the lost of Muamba. That extra cash should get us some good talent on the offence especially on the Oline. We just have to do something about protecting our QB and opening some decent holes for our backs. I guess playing Wild would cause some serious problems like how do we live with starting only 7 Canadians
  7. Sorry. Not acceptable to me. Sorry, you're not being realistic. Everyone makes mistakes. No way around that. Since we all make mistakes and for that reason don't you think if a call is made that could potentially affect the outcome of a game the ref who is responsible would want that call confirmed? Why would he make that call when the issue was a matter of perception and most importantly had absolutely no effect to the end result of the play? I know it's the rule but so are all the holding, illegal blocks and even roughing the passer that are never called.
  8. If we were able to challenge every call where it appears the refs had goofed it up we would need to bring a lunch to the game because of the length of the game. Not only do they make bad calls on what they think happened they also miss calls on things that happened that they did not see though at times they were just feet away. Example of this is receivers going offside. Usually, if you fire a few guys for unacceptable performance the word gets around. I don't really see how it would increase the length of a game at all. I'm not saying we arm coaches with more challenges. Just open up the scope of what is able to be challenged. Got ya

  10. No! I would sooner invite Attila the Hun and his friends to a BBQ. I supply the meat of course.
  11. It wasn't for sure. To conspire to do harm you need to have enough brain and presence of mind to know what is required and how to execute the plan without attracting attention to the act. These guys could not conspire to order an extra pizza after the game.
  12. Not important!
  13. Sometimes you see people do things and think there must have been a reason why it happened. But after investigating you find out it's only because they're stupid.
  14. Sure is too bad we lost. I guess I'm going to get into the ole pickup, grab the box of 8 tracks and find an auction close by. Man, I sure love that country music after a loss. "It don't hurt any more All my tear drops are gone" Is Hank Thompson still alive?
  15. Damn that Billy Goat! Come to think of it it sure was like the refs. They both stunk the place.
  16. I never thought I would come to this forum on a game day and find so many people so down. It is a truly sad state of affairs when an organization seems to be bent on doing all it can to alienate the very best of its supporters. Unfortunately the only way it seems to respond is when it looses a bunch of money at the gate. There got to be a better way to get a message across. We're 10 points underdog in our own barn.
  17. So what happens to the CIS program? For many of those kids playing in the CFL is a dream. That whole program would die. Somehow once you get a considerable American influence in any program it eventually becomes an American property. They would most likely want to control the CBA and the rule book. Further if fans are given a US brand league to watch, why waste time and not watch the real show? I personally could not accept that even if at times I complain about some of our Canadians. Nothing too much wrong with the league, just our team.
  18. Temporary Foreign Worker Program Worked for the mining industry.
  19. We sure found out the difference it made when all the players were Americans. Not to say all 7 players were better than our Canadians but even if only 4 were, that and the lack of the SMS did make a difference. The restriction on the number of Canadians that might play on an expansion team could fly is if our guys were chosen only because they were better than theirs as is done in the NHL but then those guys would be most likely be going to the NFL. I just can't see an expansion in the United States ever working unless we give up our Canadian ratio for the whole league. We would have better football in the new XFL.
  20. It depends on the person I guess. Let's say pay is the same:1. OC in the NFL - small fish in big pond 2. HC and GM in CFL - you're the man. Big fish in small pond. 3. HC and GM in Regina - You're a sick fish in a roadside slough Fixed it for yea!
  21. Is there a coach whisperer around? O'Shea might be good if he lost some of his stubborn streak. Before big changes I sure would like to see him with a different OC. We have invested quite a bit of time and money in him so let's make sure it's not him that's the problem. One thing seems to stand out, guys want to come here to play for him. Can he get them to start working for him?
  22. MB?
  23. He is all of those things, but he is also this season very emotional which leads to irrational arguments that he just keeps hammering away on even if other people show him to be in the wrong, at which point he takes it as a personal slight. I respect his opinion, but when he starts in the old man yelling at clouds act I just roll my eyes. I saw one of your posts today or yesterday where you called out another member & used ***** & ***** twice in a sentence calling them out. If that isn't yelling & showing disrespect then I don't know what it is. You know that I also respect your opinion but please don't point fingers at me & say I yell & scream like an old man at members when you do it here as well. Long time members know you have a temper as well. Hey I didn't say you did it at members, you're ranting and raving about the team a lot though and then take thing personally when people argue with you. You're damned right I use colourful adjectives to describe opinions I don't like, but that's a far cry from what's going on here. I wouldn't really say I have a temper so much as I have an argumentative streak a mile wide and don't give a **** if people get offended. You get a forum full of people with that attitude and within a month the forum is done and done. Why would one feel he has to offend people he does not agree with. People don't do that with those they work with or play with or those you live with so why feel it is an entitlement when you deal with people who just want to express an opinion on a subject of common interest. This thread is an example of what a forum should never be. Instead we should just let morons keep posting stupid crap? No that's a forum I never want to see. If I think someone has a stupid opinion I'm going to tell them so and ask them to back it up. Just the way it's going to go. I'm not interested in a forum that is unfiltered ranting. People want to do that then they should start a blog. Once people get over this idea that everyones ideas are valid the better off a forum will be. Opinion Defined: "a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty". I think people should be cautious when weighting the credibility of an opinion because by definition it has been accepted as defective for lack of verifiable facts. Further, most of what is posted here are opinions. I think (opinion) you are beating yourself up into a wreck in the role of truth police. And if people can only post facts this will become a very boring forum because we can't always get the source of the facts.

  25. Pregnant vs incredibly pregnant. See the difference? It's all a subjective perception. I agree with Mike, Willy makes a considerable difference but only if the OL feels like playing.
