  1. I say we do what teams did to us when we had Odell at DE, Run the ball at him repeatedly till he is either forced to slow down his pass rush or he is taken out.
  2. For the Regina weather report, currently it is all out downpour, and there is no break in the clouds to be seen. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Yqofw8LgWRk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  3. Is tar and feathering still an acceptable form of punishment?
  4. Find someone who has Bell or Rogers and get them to make you a login if they have an extra.
  5. There aren't many things worse than a Rusty Johnson. Just as long as it is not a Bent Willy
  6. There are a few not listed here and living in Regina makes me miss them even more. South Ocean Chinese and Calabria by the old Covergys. South Ocean best Szechwan Chicken I have ever had and the Pizza or Deli sandwichs at Calabria are both awesome. As for Burgers, for me it is either Dairy Delight or as a St. James boy I still have a soft spot for the Red Boot. Favorite Nacho's goes to Classic's pool hall. But I will be back at the end of July and trying new stuff.
  7. Yeah, agreed. If Messam can still play then it frees up an International somewhere else. So, why not bring him in??? I don't get the "We're going with an International at running back" philosophy. So what if Messam doesn't play STs. If he can start as a running back letsomeone else do it. We let Jade Etienne waste a roster spot for 2 years picking his bum on the sidelines doing nothing. Jay Detain was the previous regime's choice, everyone bitched about him not playing teams, so I am not sure how this applies to this regime. Simple question do you beleive Messam is as good or better than Ford or Cotton?
  8. With O'Shea I see us starting one of Ford or Cotton and DI'ing the other one as a "returner"
  9. Its the same thing with everyfan base(the leafs fans by far the worst), so and so declining player becomes available or is put on the trade block. Then part of the fan base instantly pops up saying hey we need him even though there is no current available roster spot for him and the team is developing some younger person in his spot. Just we need that player to come here and get paid to do almost nothing, BUT WE NEED HIM.
  10. . Sorry if your dream is a declining 29 year old Canadian running back who does not play special teams, will not win the starters job and averaged 4 ypc with a significantly better Oline then ours last year. Leave me out of the nightmare thank-you.
  11. We have zero non-import depth. Sign Messam, simply to replace Volny - who is our defacto running back and used as a 'change of pace'. Messam provides at least a chance to win the starting spot... Volny does not. If Messam surprises, we have our 7th starter... what's the harm in looking? Maybe a $5000 signing bonus if that? Messam is not going to get $125k... maybe 80-90... bring him in. I think you are overrating Messam by saying he has a chance to win the starting spot. He is a significant downgrade from any International we could put in that spot, and by a large margin. I'm not saying Volny is better but he at the very least is more versatile. We would be essentially be dressing Messam to play perhaps four plays per game? And what use is a running back who hasn't averaged more than 4.7 YPC for over two years? And that was with the Montreal offensive line! Well, there aren't really any other NI options out there - unless you bring in Matt Burke, which I would as well... and secondly, how do you know Messam won't perform unless you give him a look? Alouettes offence was a mess last year. Messam still got 500+ yards in 13 games... about the same as Will Ford... One of the Bombers problems that last few years is that we pronounce 'nope we don't want him, he doesn't fit' and pass on a lot of quality players... If KW is concerned about injuries, fine but to say that 'we are going import' is the wrong path, imo. So because we have little import depth you want to use a roster spot on someone who will never improve, is on the backside of his career, does not play special teams and is not a position of need on the bombers. Would you like some ocean side property in Saskatchewan? its got a great view. In the CFL if you are not a starter you better be able to play special teams, especially with O'Shea as head coach. So please explain where this fit is. You only sign a Canadian to play a skilled position if and only if he either presents no drop off from your import players you are playing at that position or he can be a backup and PLAY TEAMS.
  12. If Knapp played tightend in college, Could we some goalline trickery by him catching a pass of playaction by switching things up and putting him as the extra lineman in the jumbo set?
  13. How would PF know who is there or not. It's not like he pays attention... Notice him peeking on other's notes ? I would drop a duece on his notes and tell him it's better than the crap he usually puts in the paper.
  14. Lost on Collaros - lost here but going to play for Austin and not having to move sounds alot better that coming to a team with no established Oline and a question mark at OC at the time Lost on Burris - Got out bid by 100K+ for an aging QB Lost on Butler - Wanted to go home even though we through the house at him, so I guess the team lost on Labatte a couple years ago too when he bailed and went home to Mommy. Hufnagel "schooled" every other GM in the draft. - look at the number of picks they had Maybe didn't try to acquire Glenn but I consider that a loss! - not worth the second overall pick in the draft, there is a possibility that he also did not want to come back here. thats what they wanted from us. Please I would love for you to tell me otherwise after you just went on a rant below about how canadian talent is the back bone of any team. Same goes for Laurent - how do you know that Laurents agent early on said not a chance and instead of wasting time they moved on.
  15. The biggest difference between this and any other of the recent Pro sports lockouts/strikes is that the CFL is giving the players more and not trying to take away from the players. The owners of the CFL have no problem with the status quo staying in place and would in many cases prefer things not changing. Other than the money running short the players are in the poistion of power as the league as never been in a better position or more profitable. Therefore the league has no reason to lock out the player unless it wants to look like the bad guy in this.
  16. And I thought April fools was last week.....
  17. There are 2 big differences between Glenn and Buck though, Glenn has a quick release and even bigger he can read the blitz pre snap and make the approriate adjustments.
  18. Nik Lewis on the move, Banks on the recruiting tour Nik Lewis ‏@nikel18 31 mins I must be in the dog house because they told me they wasn't interested in signing me. Looks like I'll be on recruiting visits this yr. Korey Banks ‏@24Banks 26 mins @nikel18 Winnipeg?
  19. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy, played on a senior mens basketball team with him and he is unbelievably fast.
  20. Shot in the dark, could it be Chad Simpson and Chris Matthews?
