Just a heads up that Bart Kives and the CBC are doing a piece on ex-pat Manitobans living in Alberta and how excited they are for this weekend. I did a phone interview with him yesterday, and my understanding is that they'll be down at the GC Festival (Stampede Grounds) tonight shooting some stuff and hoping to chat with others that are from "back home"....

This will only be the 3rd one for me, but it's just a totally different experience from a regular game. I've seen the riders and Als in Calgary and the Esks and Redblacks in winnipeg and I am just unbelievably stoked to see the Bombers in this game.

I want revenge for the 2009 Boat Game.

I don’t mind them leaving Harris off but it’s pretty ironic that the long snapper they voted for was also busted for PEDs this season. 

I saw high corners for as low as $115 on FB marketplace last night.  Deals are already out there but there will be more as the game gets closer.

x2 for Mio. Haven't had it in a while though  since we moved further south. Jon's Pizza in Douglasdale isn't too bad if you're looking for something closer

The 07 loss is the worst to me because the Bombers lost that game.  Sask did very little to deserve to win it.  That's a game we should have won even with Dinwiddie.  There were a handful of guys on that team who were supremely talented and were inconsistent because they didn't put a lot of effort into preparation and another group who were total pros and had great talent.  That team fell apart the year after along those fractures.

Wow, judging by the comments people seem to have forgotten our "guaranteed" victory against "non-formidable" foe Marcus Crandell in the 2001 Grey Cup. Beware the rope-a-dope, people.

Ed Tait is still a darn good journalist.  His writing is extremely readable and his shows less bias than you would think.
Without him there would precious little Bomber coverage in this city for most of the year.

I have a copy of Bombers Blitz too. That tape is barely holding together after years of rewatching.  
My favourite win was the 1998 (not yet named) Banjo Bowl. There was such a feeling of emotion/relief being let loose by everyone in the stadium after finally getting a win. Fans rushed the field after the game and everyone was just so...happy. Troy Kopp was a god for a short time afterwards. 
The lost GCs during the 2000s hurt, but the loss that sticks out the most for me wast the 2012 Labour Day game. I was watching with three Riders fans and the trash talk went from fun back and forth, to crowing, to sympathetic, to silence. That sucked. I really hated the Bombers that day. 

Best Win for me was 1990 Grey Cup. It was the first sporting event I followed and understood as a kid. I still have my copy of BOMBERS BLITZ on VHS and actually throw it on to pump me up before big games...
2007 GC was the worst I've blocked out most the details. I was drunk by kickoff, worried at half and crying into a bag of chips in a cab outside 7-11 shortly after the final whistle.

Worst part of TSN is how they pick a storyline for each game and just cannot move off it no matter what actually happens in the game.
