  1. I disagree. You're only as good as your contract as a whole. If he's producing 50-65 points as our number two center for the next 5 years and dips in production during his last year would that be considered a bad deal? I don't think so.
  2. Top notch starter, reliable vet, and a young guy we've been grooming. Feels good man feels good.
  3. Our organization top to bottom is well ran, and we have great leaders in place. Not talented "me first" guys from the 2011 squad, not talentless guys from the Burke days, we have players that love being here and will do anything to get the W that's the leadership Mike O'shea has instilled in our guys.
  4. BYE WEEKS ARE THE WORST. I know I'm being selfish because it's a great change to heal up the body for an extra week but I want to see the Bombers play NOW
  5. We complain about our defense now! That defense was some kind of awful.
  6. Haha his last year as a starter in the Canadian Football League once he lost his starting job to Ricky Ray looked like this.. 8 TD's, 17 INT's, 3200 yards passing. So really who sucks?
  7. It's kind of funny because when you see a head coach lash out like that it shows the referees he has no respect for them. He won't get those boarders line calls acting like a child on the sideline.
  8. Anyone can get hot at the right time. Simply make it to the playoffs and you never know what can happen. But they don't scare me. Calgary is still the team to beat.
  9. Darn. Would have been a nice pick up for our defense. Hoping we can make a move to improve this team in the home stretch.
  10. Maas is a mega d o u c h e. With their defense, o-line and ST they aren't going anywhere.. Even with the best QB in the game.
  11. I could be wrong but since Nichols has taken over I don't think we've lost two games in a row.. A lot of credit to the coaching staff for making adjustments and credit to Matt Nichols for raising his quality of play.. Especially after a game where he could have played better!
  12. Ottawa won't be easy, and Edmonton is still tough at home. Would never count Hamilton out either as they have a little momentum winning two and a row. As per usual we'll have to bring our A game if we're going to come out with wins. No game is an easy win on the schedule but I'm confident we'll be able to atleast take two out of three which would leave us in a good position at 10-4.
  13. He did his job yesterday. He got into the endzone. By no means a perfect player but with his speed he keeps the defense honest and opens up the short/middle part of the field because you have to respect his speed.
  14. Leggett is simply just a play maker. The MVP of our defense. Whether it's a big tackle, timely INT, forced fumble, perfect coverage, or a big ST play you just put him anywhere in our lineup and he's going to make something good happen. One if not the most underrated player in the entire league.
  15. Montreal has quietly been one of the biggest **** show organizations in the past few years. They seem very close to fading into obscurity. The days of AC and Trestman are long gone.
  16. He's had an injury. He's 32 he might not be a part of a teams future but he's far from done, and I wouldn't trade for him but if they released him I'd bring him in for the rest of the season. A big phsyical YAC yard reciever would thrive in our offense.
  17. These people ALWAYS come out after a Bomber loss. It's like they enjoy the misery and controversy. Well luckily were 7-3 and haven't experienced a lot of losing. You would think we're the Hamilton Ti-Cats the way our own fans talk about our football team instead of having the second best record in the CFL
  18. If it happens right before the snap then no question in my mind it should be called a delay of game penalty. That would stop it right then and there. Such a cowardly way to conduct a football team.
  19. Jonathon Jennings happened. Since then the Rider defense grabbed the momentum.
  20. I guess but AB had nearly 1800 yards and 9 TD's last season. I'd take him back in Blue and Gold in a heart beat.
  21. I think what it comes down to is getting production on first down. Too many times we were in second and long, and the Riders would send three and we'd settle for the Lapo special which would be a 3-4 yard pass on second and long. Our offense is typically at its most dangerous and our play calling is usually really good when its second and medium or second and short. If we don't get that first down production we're not going to put enough points on the board period.
  22. I mean yes Walker is great. But their receiving core is already solid and the least of their worries. They need help on the o-line and on the defensive side of things. Walker won't come cheap. He'll likely be one of the higher/highest paid receivers in the league. If Edmonton really wants to roll the dice with their current o-line and defense then so be it.. Because I don't think Walker is enough to put them over the top and it doesn't do enough to hide their short comings.
