  1. Those are some awful Bombers jerseys. Who’s decision was it to get rid of the gold?
  2. One of my favourite games ever and it was Bernard. He was a pretty decent runningback it was just too bad Reid was at his absolute best back then.
  3. What about that game the bombers had over 300 rushing yards against BC? Fred Reid had well over 200 and I can’t remember who our back up runningback was but he had over a 100 too. That was a fun game.
  4. 2010 feels like a life time ago! Plus that season was so awful I think we won 4 games that year but 9 games were by 4 or less points. Pretty fun times.
  5. I feel like we should have a thread to talk about certain memories, players and moments in Bombers history. Inspired by my Charles Roberts thread it opened the floodgates thinking of moment during my life time. Anyways I’ll go first.. does anyone remember this game? Bombers down 32-14 with 9 minutes left in the fourth. Alex Brinks gets the start and does nothing all game long. Jyles comes in and looks like a bonfide super star; we come back to force over time, Deon Beasley intercepts Casey printers for a pick six in over time and does a front flip into the end zone! Possibly the greatest game I ever attended. I remember my buddies wanted to leave when BC scored to make it 32-14. I convinced them to stay and the rest is history!
  6. I get the frustration but he was a solo effort on some absolutely lousy bomber teams. I remember our offence was so bad around 05 we were looking forward to getting points from John Ryan singles.
  7. Do you know how he’s doing now? Seems like he was in a bad place in life and I hope things have gotten better, he was one of my heroes growing up, I was always practising that first cut, spinarama, and all the other moves he had, he was definitely one of my heroes as a kid.
  8. He always tried hard on the field. He gets a bad rep but he gave it all he had on the field. He was phenomenal
  9. TSN whining for the riders is insufferable talk about the game and move on.
  10. Can we convince medlock to come back? How much money will it take
  11. McGuire with a beautiful ball.
  12. Holding them to field goals is key.
  13. Well we were spoiled with Medlock..
  14. Field goals are fine!! As long as we’re getting 6.
  15. We knew riders would look better. They got embarrassed at home. Game on.
  16. Collaros really benefitted from that year off. He looks great.
  17. Riders d taking away the run. Next drive collaros should be able to take a chance.
  18. Powell looks like he lost a step. Good for us.
  19. He played with tee Martin and the worst offensive line in the league and still put up 1600 yards and over 2000. Give him today’s o line and he feasts and wins multiple Grey cups.
  20. All three deserved a ring. Absolute legends.
  21. I won’t hold it against him. He carried our team for several years. He always brought his A game on the field. I don’t care what he did off of it. He has to be the most spectacular running back I’ve ever seen in the cfl in terms of making the man miss, especially in open field.
  22. I was looking at his stats the other day. I know he gets a lot of flack because of the grey cup in 2007 and his sharp decline in 2008 but he averaged about 1500 yards and close to 6 yards per carry for five straight seasons and the amazing thing is during his prime we had one one of the worst offensive lines in the league and guys like Tee Martin under Center. Also back to back 2000 all purpose yards. I love me some Andrew Harris but Roberts was truly spectacular. As a kid growing up during his prime and being a short fast runningback I remember emulating his game and I have to say he doesn’t get enough love.
