Keola Anatolin would be a great guy to get. Was impressive last year and runs real hard.

Couldn't agree more. How ridiculous is it going to be when the biggest story of a lot of games is how the kicker did on converts?

My thoughts on the game: Punt coverage was excellent by the special teams. Kickoff coverage, not so much. Robert Marve sure is exciting to watch. I have no idea if he would be an effective quarterback, but his couple drives in garbage time 2 years in a row have been thrilling.

About the missed field goal. The holder lined up only 5 yards back from the line instead of 7. Don't know what kind of difference that makes, but I feel like that may have lead to the miss a bit.

I was at the game and didn't hear the play-by-pay or commentary after. Here's what I saw:
Overall I was disappointed and expected more from all 3 phases out of this team. Whole thing kind of reminded me a lot of last year.
We have tightened up our run defence though and Winnipeg's QBs all had pretty fair to good protection from the new offensive line.
Washington didn't have a very good game and T Gibson took a very undisciplined penalty against Collaros. Johnny Adams looked pretty good but not outstanding.
Kahlil Bass had his nose in a lot of plays, Hurl looks to me like he is always in pursuit - i.e. behind the play.
But he was there on a couple of run stops. Derek Jones and Graig Newman I liked. Did not see Waggoner at all. #14 Freeman was mostly good given the short time he's been here.
Not much push from the D line - but it appears Westerman is just getting warmed up.
It was the backup O line - Tyler Griffiths Goosen Chungh Lewis that made holes for Cotton on that TD drive.
Tommy Condell called a good game for the Ti-Cats O - who look much further ahead than Winnipeg's O.
Willy brings no tempo to the game and failed to pick up the blitz both times he was sacked. I am not buying a Willy jersey yet. I liked JFG and Bastien, Denmark and Moore. The rest of the receivers, not so much.
Good to see Willy running a no-huddle and his pass to Denmark gives cause for hope. They should run the no-huddle all the time, bring much-needed tempo to the offence.
Marve is very exciting to watch, does things with his legs, and makes things happen. He could be good for certain situations. Portis looks like a very laid back guy, is he from California? I felt badly for Yantz who didn't get to play.
I am still a Brohm fan. Will we pick up a tailback from other teams cuts? Marshall is a bruiser but doesn't look fast enough. Anderson went down in a heap at practice the other day too - and so without knowing anything about his injury, although he shows promise - is he durable? Placekick and ST kick coverage pretty dubious, to be honest.

Doublezero reacted to do or die in Odds and Sods.....X2 Game, Hamilton at Winnipeg
And it turned out nice again.....at least weather wise....
Shades of bad ole days.....Bomber D scored on in 1st series....
Zach Collaros, RB Holly, and the rest of the Hamilton O, looked sharp....
....as they found enough holes in Bomber D...to fill the Albert Hall.....
Blue D played a ton of zone, not particularly well......
Denmark had a nice bomb from Willy.....
...but most of the night it was 5 yard hooks, curls and slants.....
Bombers need work on kick returns.....
    Ditto short yardage situations......
Also avoiding dumb penalties ( Washington, Gibson, Bass)
Gibson did make some plays, though.....
...and K. Bass was working it pretty hard....
    Bomber O and D schemes looked pretty....uh,
....OK, will avoid the overused word and call it, uh..inelaborate....
Long kick returns directly set up 10 Hamilton points....
    Could of been worse.....
...the Cats stalled in red zone, on a couple drives and dropped 3 picks......
Cotton will start at RB....with perhaps Marshall...
MOS drags starting O, back on field to start 2nd half...
....another bad flashback....Willy blindsided on blitz....
....Drew was then nailed firmly to the bench, at that point...
Is there another team in football...as bad as Blue on screen passes?
Brohm throws a nice ball....but looks like a paint-by-numbers guy...
Portis seems to lack some touch on his throws...
    J. Adams looks like a keeper at DB.....
JFG and Bastien look like an OK rotation at SB.......
Tigercat O certainly dropped off, when Collaros departed...
Hurl has more range, than I thought...at MLB...
Robert Marve helped his cause, tonight.....
Can't say the same for Brohm and Portis......
Marve does provide a change up and a different tempo.....
Willy got pretty pissed with Jhomo Gordon on a busted pattern...
    M. Goossen has some attitude.......
Too bad Yantz didn't get in......
    Not happy with tonight's result....
But back in the park, with gin in hand....
.....will do to go on with, for now...

Aside from assigning him a different name to throw off the opposing teams, I can see the Bombers following the traditional path and releasing the Canadian QB (Yantz) because...well what's the point, right? But the Bombers and Walters/O'Shea are working a little differently than others we've seen and I can dare to dream.

It is possible that their plan @ #4 has been Jordan Yantz all along and that the battle for a QB position has been between Marve and Portis.

I was only there a short while.
Nick Moore running the right direction following catches today.
Toney Clemons and Shaq Richardson beaking grill-to-grill and uttering bad words after Richardson earholes Clemons with an elbow after the play.
Portis taking reps ahead of Marve.
Hurl def in the starting rotation at MLB.
Randle picks Willy on a nice int. Just really like Randle and Greg Peach.
Willard Reaves watching his son #72. Didn't Leo Ezerins wear #72 for Winnipeg?
#14 Malachi Freeman getting a fair number of reps at DB and CB and looking OK in the short time he's had to digest things.
Carlos Anderson definitely hurt something on a return - limped off the field.
Unamba looking solid. Can't help but notice Z Anderson and Thaddeus Gibson out there.
Bryant Greaves Picard Chungh Daniels look to be starters on the O line.
Cotton, Gordon and Veltung on returns after Anderson went down - Stoudermire still has his hand heavily taped and he was just watching, obviously.
