I was at the Lions at Stamps pre-season game last season in which Alex Ross got to play around 20 minutes, IIRC. He did pretty well and looked more comfortable out there than other Lion QBs. I think it was his play in this game that won him the 3rd string job for the Lions. The Argos have released QB Jeff Mathews, given that he has a lot more game time experience than Ross, my guess is Mathews will be a Bomber QB very soon.

What are all those Darian Durant Rider fans going to do who vilified Mo Price a couple of years ago when he took a large bonus from the Riders and then retired. Rider fans must be feeling awfully conflicted right now. Or they could just be hypocrites who feel like Durant that he deserved to be paid by Bombers but Price did not deserve to be paid by Riders. Durant is a drama queen with a big ego. A big part of why Chris Jones didn't want him.

The real amazing thing is that Wally is not a QB whisperer, not an XandO guy, and as a player was a LB. He does give his backup QB more starting team reps in practice than most, about a 60/40 starter to backup, I think. He also puts performance pressure on a second year backup to show marked improvement or you are let go.

Well yeah, all indications are that this is Wally's last year.

The key stat line was the both QBs completed 28 passes. Nichols for 241 yards, Lulay for 404 yards.

In their most recent game the TiCat DBs contained Arceneaux and Burnham but then Moore got 220 yards. Also look for Jeremiah Johnson to do lots of running and catching when covered by less than experienced BB LBs. Your last sentence is your best hope.

Maas still thinks and acts like a player too much of the time. Re: Riderfans.com Too many of those guys have lost their sense of humour and have developed a very thin skin. That place was better when they were overly optimistic and planning GC parades back when they actually had some hope. Speaking of hope, I hope that the Riders re-sign Durant, otherwise the strain on the mental health care workers in that province will be overwhelming.

Durant is a free agent in 2017 so he may decide to run away from the circus.

Bingo! Best post of the thread. The CFL had been investigating the Riders cheating for weeks before the Bo tweet but didn't shut down the 20 or so player illegal practice squad and other violations or issue fines until Bo tweeted. Why was that? The optics to me look more like the CFL supervising the cheating rather than investigating it. Bo embarrassed the CFL, but they needed a fire under their butts in order to take action so they deserved to be made to look bad because the CFL head office lacks professionalism.

This BC Lion fan would like to know, what is the Bryant Turner Treatment? Turner will be replacing the injured Mic'hael Brooks against the Als on Thursday.

Mike Reilly, Jon Jennings, Darian Durant, Travis Lulay (he can run but will his shoulder hold up if he takes a hard hit?), and possibly Masoli.

Popp gave up a 2017 1st round pick to get a QB from B.C. Maybe Popp can get a 1st rounder from the Riders for one of his QBs...this year's 1st rounder is available I hear.

With Glenn playing at a high level and the O line upping their game, there is no need to rush Lulay back. Once he is eligible to play it won't be full games right away.
