I think so, I've never been but my co workers have all enjoyed it and recommended it.
Do you have a food truck? I had met a guy back in the day who would do all the festivals/carnivals in Manitoba during the Summer and then would drive around the State fairs and whatever in the warmer States during Winter and he would make a killing. It was a fry truck with I think hot dogs and he lived in a mansion and had lots of big toys.
Hi yeah, I own 3 of them. One is bloomin onion/poutine
Mini donuts/lemonade
Deep fried: cheese curds, corndogs, cheese cake, oreos, chocolate bars, basically anything you can deep fry
I've considered a lot going to the states. My spouse is a nurse. I travel all of western Canada from june-end of September. If I left her for an additional 3 months she'd skin me lol

With the carnival idea , I think maybe Dreamland Diner might be the only one who is close to doing it? I know around the McPhillips area they have a funky corndog place which I have not tried yet.
I'd stick with food trucks over a restaurant, I've known a few people who have opened up restaurants and it's high risk/stress, money pit, and a lot of work to keep afloat. The costs really add up quickly and the post Christmas slump kills a lot of places. At least with the food trucks you can drive in to where the customers are and during the winter months I'm assuming you would be in the States running the circuit.
In an over saturated market like Winnipeg it makes things much more difficult. If I were to do a restaurant in Winnipeg I'd 100% buy into an existing franchise, it's far more safe.
Yeah. Pretty much seconded my thought process. I'll take a long ponder at it and If the right situation came around, maybe.
I just want to work in the winters. I'm restless and want to start another venture

Hi guys. I've been sitting on a restaurant theme for a while and figured I'd Guage the reaction here first.
As some of you may know, I own a few concession trailers, mostly based on carnival foods.
I've been floating the idea of opening up a carnival foods style joint. Carnival themed, with some games, of course all the carnival favorites. A new weekly item from the ridiculous American midways.
Of course would still carry the burgers, fries, etc but the angle is on the carnival stuff.
Cheese curds, hand Dipped corndogs, blooming onion, Funnel cake, oreos, donuts, etc etc
Does this tickle anyone's fancy or nah. Keep it to an annual novelty

Can somebody repost?
Thank you

Absofuckingloutely lol. It's not even up for debate. Anyone who knows-- knows
Also it doesn't bother me either. I'd be shocked if atleast 50% of these guys aren't on the sauce

What does a typical OC get paid in the CFL?
What does a TSN analyst get paid?
-
Buck might actually make a better HC than OC

Can someone provide me a link to the full presser? Or is it just what we can find on bb.com

I'd say it's an equally big gamble to stick with Collaros considering he's been on a downward trajectory for a couple of years now.
Have we given up on the possibility of Strev being the next in line.
I think we did not get an accurate indication on what he could do with a capable oc
I'd rather run with a one two punch, or possibly bo Levi as a place holder than vaj
That being said. This is all moot. Zach ain't going anywhere and I am not sure I'd advocate for it anyway

If we cut Zac (we won't) we pay him $250K. If we keep him we pay him $600K. The question is... is it worth the sunk $250K to move on from Collaros and go to a younger QB? I'd say it is, but I totally understand folks who say it isn't.
I'd say it's a big gamble to move on from him with a GC host year. He's our guy.
Nobody else out there that puts in a better position, IMO
We'd be get used to the idea of one more all in year and then expect a step back for a few years

Don't hate Taylor as a depth guy
Foregone conclusion bighill will be back although I am not sure why. As a depth and leader role that'd be fine, I suppose

No coach is going to sit Zach in that situation... but it needed to be done regardless. Would Wilson manage the game and win? I don't know... but there was no doubt when I saw collaros pulling on that glove I knew the ints were coming.
Why wouldn't he? He already walked away from some vets last offseason.
Wilson completed the pass to wheatfall, he just dropped it. A little over thrown ( probably correcting for the previous one) but a catch that a pro football player should be making.
I liked the way the kid hung in the pocket like that. Looked poised for a qb so raw.
I agree that most coaches wouldn't make the change. But if he can't grip the ******* ball, what choice is there.
Man, I'm just pissed off. I just can't believe they played so poorly. It's a long list of **** ups this year

He was fine until a freak incident cut his hand open. Receivers let him down bigtime in this one and the he couldn't hold a ball to throw. Coaches needed to sit him at that point because he was too injured to play.
Well good thing we have a gm who can take some decisions out of osheas hands.
I was just about to say, and I pretense this by saying I have a lot of respect for Mr oshea and am forever appreciative,
But when you say in your post game interview that Zach can't grip the ball
Then what the **** is he doing playing?!?!?! If he can't GRIP the ball then he can't play.
It's either a lie/embellished or it's just absolute madness. Neither Is good

They still won the west and made a 5th straight Grey cup... they still had a top defense throughout the year and even in this game... it's not as dire as all that, some tweaks needed. Move on from some older bodies and bring in some good replacements and you're still a contender.
Yeah, I agree. It just frightens me now because, correct me if I'm wrong, Zach hasn't played well in a single one of the grey cups.
Well enough to win yes, but not well. This year was the "dome, indoors!" And it was his worst showing yet
Before the gc I saw bighill planning on returning. For a minimum salary as a back up???
As much as I hate to say it, there is a lot of fat on this roster to be trimmed.

And where's adams now? No we lost some key guys to injury and wheatfall hasn't been able to adjust to being a pro. Clutch guys like wolitarsky and Schoen would be difference makers and 100% if the choice is between Lawler and Schoen I'm sticking with Schoen and I'd have said the same thing after the west final.
People are going to great lengths to find reasons for this loss... it's pretty simple though. Execution was awful on the bombers part offensively, particularly the receivers.
Agree, Lawler shows up, has a big game, and dissappears
Schoen you trust in all situations. To get you the first over the middle, to run the screen, to take it over the top.
I didn't see the same Lawler magic this year with those " can you believe that!!" Catches
I saw and heard a lot of " he usually makes that miracle grab" though
Well no, he usually doesnt
