  1. A Canadian version of the Sons of Anarchy?
  2. @HannahThibedeau: Trudeau, "conservatives are not our enemies they are our neighbours." #elxn42 A good reminder..
  3. Why start a narrative that isn't there? What deflection?Ofcourse it's a rejection. When the government gets beat like this it's a rejection. It doesn't meant there aren't other reasons. But certainly a rejection of the government. Liberals + 39 in Quebec. NDP -51. That tells the story. No, that's not the story. That's the deflection. The story is the loss of seats by the Conservatives and the tumbling of the gov. for a majority Liberal gov.
  4. Deflection...the new Con motto? No doubt about it now, they have been rejected...big time.
  5. I've seen nothing in Walters work ethics, nor his attitude towards Winnipeg fans and fellow staff, that would show anything less than putting forth his best efforts.
  6. Sweeping Red starting from Atlantic Canada...
  7. You mentioned 9 linebackers (listed) and 1 backup receiver. Explain why this was a roster management no no. Serious question. Cause our offense sucks and we are playing Stoudemire as one of our REC? Like WTF? That may be a lack of depth, but if you think Stoudermire being in the game is a main cause of our offence sucking, then I have some news for you.
  8. Yeah, 20 is an important year to celebrate..
  9. This is what I woke up to this morning here, in Kelowna…and I'm not sure about using what is supposed to be neutral colouring? Looks like an official message.
  10. It's the misinterpretation of what constitutes what a MLB is and what his responsibilities are now, as opposed to "back in the day", especially on different teams.
  11. I don't think any team is going to win in the playoffs. Everybody is playing badly.
  12. Drew Willy is not, and hasn't been the problem in our Offence. We have the worst O in the CFL, but when Willy was playing, at least we had a chance to compete and win. Look elsewhere for the real problem..and you don't have to look far.
  13. This line sums it up for me.. "The current government has lost its moral authority to govern.‎" A lawyer who worked in Stephen Harper's PMO‎ and broke with the Conservatives over the Nigel Wright affair months ago announced Sunday he has abandoned the Tories in the polling booth and has cast his vote "for change" this time. "As a lifelong conservative I never thought that would happen. But after what I've personally seen and experienced, there was no other choice," Ben Perrin, a former legal advisor in the PMO, said in a statement sent to media on the eve of Election Day. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/harper-has-lost-the-moral-authority-to-govern-says-former-pmo-lawyer/article26864767/?click=sf_globefb
  14. Doesn't matter. Two portly-jacket-unbuttoned-buffoons going at it over a smoothie doesn't bother me at all that Bettman couldn't bully his way past Miller and get his way. Boo hoo. The NHL still owe the Jets, in one way or another, over the lost rookie draft from years ago. They will be back. Bettman likes Chipman, and anywhere where they can make money. And they would make money in Winnipeg.
  15. You can strut and pee all over Miller at your leisure, but did you really expect Miller to bow down to Bettman when the NHL wanted their Dec date and not later, as Miller wanted? A Dec date within weeks of the Grey Cup, and you think Miller pissed it away? Wrong. Not good timing And besides, it has only been postponed, it's still being negotiated.
  16. I don't even know why we're asking questions about the defence and who's playing where and how often. The defence is far from the problem. I bet with even an average offence, we'd be 8-8, even with the ST gaffes in a couple of games. This offence is last in the league. Worse, we're behind last. We're ranked even behind ourselves. We're in a special category. I would love to be a defensive player on the opposing team and facing our offence. You absolutely can tell what's coming by just the way we line up...and sometimes we even screw that up. *** It was overheard late in the BC game, after the defence once again stood tall and got the ball back for the offence, that O'Shea turned to the team on the bench and screamed to the offence - Get out there and FICKING do something with it!
  17. This is simply untrue. The football operations aspect of the WFC has increased substantially since Miller took over.
  18. $1.25 or 5th quarter. - Cam Marshall 8 carries for 48 yards, 7 catches for 65 yards screams "feed me the ball" - D, Scott, not so much. - Not much more can be said for the Offence. Opportunities galore,,many missed chances. While Burris executed a good offensive plan, Nichols failed to execute a bad offensive plan. Not a good combination. Shout out for: - 12 tackles for the the "Monster Bass". 10 tackles for Washington, who had a borderline int. call and a great hustle play to tackle Williams for a short gain when the game still mattered. And, of course, for Ian Wild, 8 tackles and who seemed to be everywhere. Stoudermire 5 returns for 103 yards. - Richie Hall - still like how we're coping on Defence, and giving this team a chance by staying in the game. - while I didn't mind the early gamble on 3rd down, I didn't like the fact that we handed off the ball 5 yards deep to start with. Which leaves the burning question…why in hell did the RedBlacks gamble on 3rd and 3 and give an opposing team a last gasp chance to win…well, I mean, a good opposing team a chance to win?
  19. A lighter moment in the hair battle...
  20. Because 50% of our starting roster is below average. You have to address the talent, or lack thereof. Geez, put the entire team on waivers and see who gets picked up. Westerman and ? Who's on your list of 50% below average on our roster. I'd like to know. 'Bout 30 guys...
  21. You mentioned 9 linebackers (listed) and 1 backup receiver. Explain why this was a roster management no no. Serious question.
  22. Nichols isn't the saviour some want him to be, but he still is a damned good back up QB. It takes one hell of a putrid offensive scheme where you turn a decent backup into a meddling third stinger where you even would think for a minute, just a minute mind you, of putting in B. Brohm. That's what our Offence can do.
  23. This young Jet team plays a nice structured game from Maurice, who is allowing them to play fast and take some chances. Very exciting. One has to be impressed with the like of Ehlers, who is fast and good on the puck and he will only get better. Burmistrov still displays the skills he has shown before, but now he's all over the ice…in a good way. Smart defensively. Scheifele looks solid and plays smart and fast. And the rest of the usual suspects. Good game, again.
  24. When you look at yesterday's game as an outsider would, you would see one team, Ottawa, with an offence that moved the ball to the left side, to the right side, mixing up running and passing, and using all their players. They threw the ball short, behind the line of scrimmage, down the field short and down the field long. Again, while mixing in running the ball. this was executed by a QB who understood the game plan and had confidence in that plan. They scored 16 points in the 1st half. It could have been more but the fiery defence refused to let them. Compare that O with the Bombers offence and you would be hard pressed to come up with more than 2 phrases…incomplete pass and interception. And a VERY predictable offence with receivers running straight routes, and receivers never leaving the shadow of the line of scrimmage. You know, for those game winning 5 yard receptions. Cam Marshall ran 8 times for 48 yards. he probably could have run for over 100 yards, had he been used. Yet another game where we could have easily competed if we had more than 50 yards in an entire half of football. Putrid numbers from he offence once again, called with a putrid game plan in mind. We simply won't win playing with such an offence.
