  1. They deserve to lose for that...and a hell of a lot more.
  2. It gets pretty bad when we're discussing the merits of Walker and Grigsby..
  3. relentless logic and not allowing people to get out of erroneous claims? Yeah it does tend to win debates. That's debatable..
  4. Gretzky, ranked 3rd? I don't know if there would be a Crosby without 99. Pure inspiration. Gretzky or Lemieux? An argument for all time. All's I know is, I never knew Gretzky to 'actively' take a night off, and I know Mario did.
  5. And in the end, for his whole body of GM work, he will "judged", but I firmly believe the whole staff erred on this one..not just one guy.
  6. I don't subscribe to the theory that it was just Walters who gave his stamp of approval to the "stacked" backups that we had in our progression line. We, as fans, were excited to be provided with a stable of QBs who were approved by at least Danny McManus, Walters, Marcel Bellefeuille, and O'Shea. They were familiar with both Brohm and Portis, and somebody must have approved Marve besides McManus. And they were wrong on all 3. And not just 'close' wrong, but 'far off' wrong, and that cost us...big time. We're only in it (playoff race) now because Walters managed to snag a 'real' backup in Nichols. So, who is innocent in assessing these guys outside of game conditions? Tough call to be wrong on all 3..
  7. I didn't believe that Walker was going to be a part of our future, just a fill-ln.But I do agree with you that our running game is very predictable and ultra slow. Not only do we present our Offence as showing the run, we then proceed to hand the ball off, not as the blocking is developing, but when it has already happened. There is no thrust left. Result? 2 yards. But do we change it? No. So then, the question is...why not? Oh, and Nichols does seem to handle the handoff option play better than Willy.
  8. I'm pretty sure both Walters and O'Shea recognize what a successful Offence should look like.
  9. Lirim does kick a line-drive kind of kick more often than not. Lirim has been kicking nice directional balls, this year, close to the end zone, when the O gives him the opportunity. He does not kick the ball down the middle of the field, although he has done it on occasion. Lirim, usually, does have good kickoffs. Lirim can kick the snot out of the ball, when he is allowed. Place kicking has been reliable, so therefore, the recent game leads me to believe Edmonton had access to our supply of balls and Eskimoed them.
  10. Concession # 1? Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) released the following statement today on the news that an agreement on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) "MSF expresses its dismay that TPP countries have agreed to United States government and multinational drug company demands that will raise the price of medicines for millions by unnecessarily extending monopolies and further delaying price-lowering generic competition. The big losers in the TPP are patients and treatment providers in developing countries. Although the text has improved over the initial demands, the TPP will still go down in history as the worst trade agreement for access to medicines in developing countries, which will be forced to change their laws to incorporate abusive intellectual property protections for pharmaceutical companies. For example, the additional monopoly protection provided for biologic drugs will be a new regime for all TPP developing countries. These countries will pay a heavy price in the decades to come that will be measured in the impact it has on patients. As the trade agreement now goes back to the national level for countries's final approval, we urge all governments to carefully consider before they sign on the dotted line whether this is the direction they want to take on access to affordable medicines and the promotion of biomedical innovation. The negative impact of the TPP on public health will be enormous, be felt for years to come and it will not be limited to the current 12 TPP countries, as it is a dangerous blueprint for future agreements."
  11. 1 minute, 55 seconds, 6 plays, Burris 3-3 - TD....on the road, sort of. 1 minute, 40 seconds, 3 plays 56 yard gain - horse-**** horse-collar tackle penalty, Harris 3-3 - TD Game tied 7-7 Going to be a showdown - (ELO) *********** 10:20 into the game Toronto 14-7 Then Hank shows up...interception Tor. - ball on the 1 yard line. ********** 3:26 left in the 1st Q Harris is picked off, ball on the 8 yard line.
  12. Both versions are untrue. He went for the media room after the game...but he missed.
  13. Walker never was a going-to-be-a-Bomber-RB, he was a fill-til-the regular-RB-gets-back kind of player. I always believed he wasn't going to be here long, and these series of moves confirms it.
  14. Kirk Penton ‏@PentonKirk 30m30 minutes ago The #Bombers have released Chevon Walker. 3 retweets2 favorites
  15. Ottawa are 8-5 this year. Last year, at this point, they were 2-11. They are actually battling for 1st place now and they want to beat the Argos…badly, or any way. They've already lost 2 games to Toronto 30-24, and 35-26, but both those games featured tons of penalties on the RedBlacks part. 20 penalties for 228 in the 1st game and 18 for 165 in the second. Now, however Ottawa is confident and Burris is hot. Predictions anyone? I'll take Ottawa.
  16. I only see Chevon Walker's being here because he is a CFL veteran, and could pretty much step in as a veteran RB. It was either him or Nic Grisby sort of thing. As to his abilities, I'll hand that off to the more informed, but I do have to chuckle as to the critique of his production, because as I look back to the running back production, in the Bomber's last couple of years, or longer, it is few and far between times where we have had a good running attack.
  17. That's what we call...a zero in-depth analysis.
  18. I get it, you're hung up on blowout prices, no, I mean the word blowout. Fine. I'll leave you at it.
  19. Well, actually, the 1st game was the win against Sask., then we had the poor performance against Montreal, but since then, with Nichols, not Brohm, we have looked more like a football team. And that was my point. When we have a legitimate backup QB...we can be more competitive, and we have been. I wasn't using excuses, I was just questioning your blowout-loss wording, and was wondering if you feel that would be the situation had we had Nichols in any of those blowout losses...that's it.
  20. I gotta ask you, have you seen that blowout-loss team, since the backup quarterbacking has improved? And the team record since Nichols' arrival has been.....? You have to answer my question first.
  21. On the surface, this new TPP agreement looks promising, but of course we don't know the details..nor the concessions, so the applause will have to wait..until after the election.
  22. Agenda gap? Doesn't matter to me anyways...that's not my word. I asked a question, that's all.
  23. Yup, the Bombers played a stinky game. By my count 17 points off a fumble, and two kickoff returns, that led to two TDs. But since we can't count the points we scored (in garbage time) that absolutely means we haven't played better with better QBacking...unless you include the last 2 games against the top two teams in the West, oh, and the victory before the Montreal game. Or don't they count? Nope, no agenda. ( for some)
  24. I gotta ask you, have you seen that blowout-loss team, since the backup quarterbacking has improved?
