Torontonians want an NFL franchise. The CFL will no longer do because, gosh, it's Toronto! The Centre of the Universe!

NFL attendence dropped through the whole Buffalo experiment.  This isn't the only reason

Despite the pretty solid TV viewership numbers, attendance at actual Argonauts games continues to be awfully low. Could you perhaps shed some light on why the latter remains an issue, @bluto? As an outsider, I am genuinely interested in hearing your perspective on that and what you think could be done to remedy it.

Over the last 2 years, I've been to Toronto twice.  My trips have included 4 Jays games, 2 Argos games, 1 Ticats game and a TFC game.

The Blue Jays got a lot of attention over the last 2 years.  Playoffs will do that.  81 games x 40,000 fans is a lot of fans.

For the Argos games, there are a lot of week night games, poor parking (expensive and not very close) in the area.  The GO Trains get close if coming from the east, but are a bit more of the pain if coming from other directions.  Both games I was at were poorly attended.   Pricing in the lower bowl is high.  Seats in the upper deck are uncomfortable.  Parking would even be tougher the days I was there as the CN Exhibition was on at the same time (like the Red River Ex).

The Ticat game had a good amount of rabid, football knowedgable fans.  Even at 0-9, the fans were great.

TFC - Sure they play in the same stadium, but attract a completely different crowd.  Seating comfort doesn't matter as much, as fans stand for most of the game.  Lots of knowledgeable fans, lots of energy, and a lot of noise, starting with the south endzone.  I went on a weeknight with an 8 pm start.  The more expensive seats were still not filled on the sides.  The ends were full and highly energetic.  Again, I think parking is an issue.  Parking would even be tougher the days I was there as the CN Exhibition was on at the same time (like the Red River Ex).

I hate every ******* team and their fan base but there's a special place in hell for the people from the Gap who wear their green **** to every event in every venue on the planet. They're among the worst organisms in our universe. Worse than cockroaches. Stamps/fLames "fans" are gaining on em but not at that level...

I went to two games back-to-back this year in Southern Ontario and wore Bomber gear.  I had everyone under the sun talking about the Bombers to me.  Maybe there is something to this...

Why not name them the Halifax Blue Bombers? Having a team in each division would surely help our odds of breaking the drought.

    It should be “Bluebombers”.

Ottawa Rough Riders vs Saskatchewan Roughriders

or it could be the Halifax Red Blacks...

QFT, one can not forget that we lost Westerman (our best rush end) Mo (Our DPOTY) Bond (maybe our best ol) Adams (our best wr) and who knows who all may have played at less then full strength. Its bloody hard to lose 4 of your very best and over come that.

Adams stretching the field opened up soo much in our offense. With westerman we could carry an extra DI, or an IMP mlber, bond plays an 'easier' position on the line but is our biggest miss match, and Mo could be our MoP candidate every single year. The best sam in the league.

And the starting QB Nichols suffered separate  finger and calf injuries in the last half of the season, of which both caused lost playing time.

    It bounced out

Did it?  TSNs camera work and camera selection was garbage at the end.  Looked like we missed the FG by 2 ft, and the ball must have bounced on the yard markers or out of bounds, but can't tell from the video.

The Edmonton event seems a weird thing to honour or memorialize - since there were no fatalities and the perp appears simply to have been a nutjob since there was no evidence it was terrorism and therefore no terror-related charges. As you say, better to avoid entirely.

The Edmonton event was addressed as the police officer hit was working at a barricade for the CFL game (near Commonwealth Stadium, where the Blue Bombers were playing the Eskimos at the time of the first incident).  Why wouldn't you want to show support to the officer, the Edmonton Police, and to those injured later in the evening?

The Las Vegas event was pure evil.  Those people killed and injured were co-workers, neighbours, friends, and possibly family of Bomber fans.  As a concert promoter/host, the events in Las Vegas are directly related to the operation of our stadium and team.

Completely off topic here... but I was at a friend's wedding a few weeks ago... the bride is originally from Tampa, now lives in MB (long story)... so some of her friends from Tampa were at the wedding... I was talking to one girl at some point in the night and I only thing I remember from the conversation is she told me she had a friend that played in the CFL.... when she said James Wilder, I knew she was legit b/c who else would know the 3rd string (at the time) RB for the Argos...

turns out he might be a good one...

    Where was the wedding... Miami?

it also shows the 50/50 at just over 6,000 when it was well over 100,000 by that point... it's just an image they threw on there (why not just use the real scoreboard?? who knows)

South end zone screen has all the correct data.  There must have been a data or computer reset while the camera man was panning the crowd.  He did go 720 degrees around.

Absolutely agree... in the shot from inside the endzone, it looked like the hit popped the ball loose, and from the other angle he was hit back around the 2 or 3 yard line, so based on that, I believe the ball was loose before he crossed as well.

If the ball was knocked loose by the hit from Leggett's hand, the fumble location is obviously the spot of leggett's hand.
