In regards to Flanders vs Anderson. Anderson didn't really have a chance to go against anyone in the 4th qtr. If I'm not mistaken most of his time came in the 2nd/some of the 3rd. I'd still go with Anderson over Flanders at this point as Anderson showed more early than Flanders did. This is assuming that more talented players were on the field for MTL earlier in the game.

Was at the game, nice to have football back! first team O looked solid. Nice roll out and toss to smith by Willy. Still holding on to the ball a bit too long (resulted in a sack and under through to Darvin who would have scored) Oline held up nicely, especially while running. Huge holes! Decent blitz pick ups too. Good to see in preseason. Defence!! Westerman looked great. Corney! Two sacks and a kick return!! Good to see him get in there. Thought Macho looked so so...though I did see him come in fairly late to a play where the QB had scrambled. It concerns me cause that was/is his MO, taking stupid penalties that don't need to happen. Bennet/Davis - Anderson/Flanders making for some tough choices for the coaches that's forsure. Thought Davis slightly outplayed Bennet same with Anderson over Flanders. But hope to see the four play again on monday. The Refs...oh dear god the refs. Specifically #79 holy hell I hope he never actually refs a real game. Just brutal, between phantom calls to not knowing which side caused the penalty, to signalling to the wrong side (WPG penalty - points to Mtl etc) I really hope this wasn't a sign of things to come this year.

I just don't understand the logic. They aren't doing anything that won't be changed in the near future. "market correction" in this case is legit, "Don't want to pay what others are paying" and that's it. This won't have any impact on next years draft. It would have only worked if the entire league was in on it. But SSK is the only team talking this way. I don't see how this doesn't play out in a way that damages their rep among other players in the future. There isn't a player out there who gives a **** about proper market "Worth". They all want to be paid, and will absolutely regard this as a stubborn GM refusing to pay market value for a top draft pick. It boggles my mind that they are trying to play the game this way. I don't see how they come out on top here.

Does neuf have any value in a trade right now? When does that start to dwindle? How has Keeping looked at Camp? That's actually one name I haven't heard at all. Could Couture be a serviceable back up if we went with Keeping Goosen and Chungh and traded neuf?

that depends on how Chunghs contract plays out. If we sign him, then yeah we will be well on our way to having some solid depth. If not, we will still have some work to do.

I think the log cutting is dumb, I don't know why really. I just don't like it. The whistle in Hammy is ok, the horse in CGY is (was?) awesome. And of course our canon is great. What do other teams do? I know SSK has gainer go back and forth in a truck...that's kinda lame....What about BC MTL or TO?

LOL yup me too. I don't understand the "He drops everything"....but has some how been able to be one of the top receivers in the league the last few years, oh and just helped his team win a grey cup. But yeah totally overrated....smh Sure he gets more balls thrown his way, but that just speaks more to his value. He's getting open more often than not. When you have a guy like that, it opens up other opportunities for other players...including the run game. Takes pressure off the QB. etc etc.
