Idk parts of down town suck for sure. Exchange is great. But tbh a lot of major cities have similar down town problems to what we do. Urban sprawl / decay and gentrification are issues all over the west.

Insert the graphic of how Winnipeg is voted the worst city to visit by all NHL'ers.

Most cities have an area of downtown that is alive and nice to go along with the pockets/areas where things are runned down and dead.   Winnipeg is like 99% shithole with a few decent places sprinkled in.   It's pathetic that the main road in downtown consists of over 50% of the buildings for lease and much of the rest filled with dollar stores and money marts.   After 5:00 pm you see nobody walking around, yet other cities you see life and vibrancy.

For work we have had dozens of people fly in and make the mistake of booking a hotel downtown.   100% of the time the feedback is "What the hell is wrong with this place" and all of them are amazed at how sketchy and completely dead it is.

When the comparisons of our downtown is Edmonton or Buffalo... that's a telltale sign that the place is terrible.

  2. I'm not sure which games that people had sacks and who played and what not.  But from the naked eye Jeffcoat didn't look like a difference maker while Jefferson from the start of the season until the end was very noticeable on the field regardless if he registered sacks or not.

The amount of times he caused massive disruptions and the amount of times he had near sacks was very noticeable.  Sometimes stats don't tell the full story.

Are we really pretending Emilus isn’t a great receiver? Better season numbers wise than Demski, catching passes from Rainbow Jake. If we had a 2nd year Canadian breaking 1000 yards with a backup QB throwing the majority of the passes, we’d be going nuts over him.
I know a lot of the Riders numbers were garbage time numbers, but Emilus had a lot of early game impact. Real big fan of his.

This is what I'm saying... people pretending like those guys are mediocre and C level players really makes this site feel like riderfans.com

  4. The Riders had a terrible defense and were continously playing from behind so that is a slight modifier on why they were pass heavy.     Once again... they had Harris healthy for only a bit and were playing Dolegala and Fine who were not good at all.   Bane made some outstanding catches and Emilius was really solid and consistent.

I'd imagine people on here wouldn't be so ignorant to say that just because they hate the Riders that they default into saying every player on that team sucks and that they were over rated and stats are misleading etc...

It is perfectly fine to admit that they had talent at certain positions ,  we don't have to pretend that they sucked everywhere.

    Who are their receivers...Bane...Emilus...and??

And throwing money at random positions when your core and structure sucks isn't a winning formula

The Riders had good talent at Receiver and at RB last season,  the main issue was that terrible o-line.   They did good this off season to help improve that weakness.

The D still is very poor and we will see if Mace can clean out the trouble players and create a disciplined team.    They also lack depth big time.

Why would people be even remotely bothered by this? Scheme fit, we have no clue if he will perform better then he did in Sask. Hardrick stunk there too.

People are looking for things to ***** about.  It's almost like they don't believe in our recruiting and that they completely forget about training camp where multiple guys will compete for these spots.

One on McLeod, one on Concordia.

From my experience the best sandwiches come out of McLeod but now having moved out of the area I choose between the two in Selkirk and the one by Walmart is the better of the two. Especially when the overly happy older woman is working, she is a true sandwich artist.

One on Munroe by Giant Tiger too.

McLeod is usually quick and accurate,  the only issue I've had is that they over cook the cookies sometimes.

East St Paul has a good Subway that never has any lines and I've never had any hockey puck cookies at that location.

Is that the same as the Kings in Westwood? Same thoughts, if so. The shawarma was good but the fries are over seasoned.

    Yup same place different/new location.

May be an image of text that says 'FIREHOUSE SUBS Join Our Team! Coming Soon FIREHOUSE ..SUBS. Coming Soon Follow on Instagram: @FirehouseSubsMB FIREHOUSE SUBS Follow on Instagram: @FirehouseSubsMB'

Where is this new location?  My friends have raved about the one near Ikea.

Tried out Kings on Sun Valley Road here in North Kildonan.    I'd say the shawarma was full of flavour and the meat was really tender and juicy.   The fries were a bit over seasoned so it's really salty.  Overall it's on the same level as Ramallah on Munroe and a good place to check out.

“Winnipeg is facing a crisis at the offensive tackle position following the surprise retirement of backup Drew Richmond and the expected departure of all-star Jermarcus Hardrick in free agency to the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Ivey is expected to be part of the open competition for that position.”

    Closed circuit to John Hodge:

Tone it down. You’re honestly about as click bait as click bait gets.

While you’re at it - stop stealing posts, thoughts, and ideas of people from this board and passing them off as your own.

Jeeze are they that desperate for traffic?  Things must not be doing well if they have to be hyperbolic with a team having to fill one single spot ahead of free agency and training camp.

I assume Hodge is going to pen an article with a photo of Pinball pointing a gun to his head because the Argos lost more then 1 single player and now need to *gulp* recruit or sign new guys.

Maybe he has CTE like Chris Benoit???

He's full blown insane.  Watch his old rants on Stone Cold and more recent interviews with him and the wacko Hannibal.   Dude is 100% insane and I'd assume his years of drug abuse would play a large part in it.

  12. This is great news. For a few years Disney was planning to do a live action remake of the original Moana. Which would of been really dumb.

Moana 2 should do well assuming they keep the characters and run a normal story with it.

Actually for 538K they got Thurman...Edwards cooper and Hardrick....Just shy of what we paid for the Best RB...One the top 3 receivers, and most likely the best backup QB....and likely another 170k min for Oullette....so thats over 700k....Who got value for prime meat...and who overpayed for choice cuts???...lol

For a good laugh visit Riderfans and read the post where they mock the Bombers for what we are paying Zach, BO, Schoen and Lawler.
