Dead on... as I was complaining in the chat room it appeared that after the midway point in the 2nd period the team just completely shut down. Adrenaline dump? Nerves? Not sure what but they had absolutely nothing. It was sad that Stemp and Thorburn were the only guys generating offense!! Myers also had a decent game... Buff , ladd, Wheeler, Little, were completely invisible. Very disappointing loss since they had full momentum in the 2nd and just let it get away....

Maybe he wants to live in a warmer climate or a big city...

I definitely think Stemp signs since they pursued him last season and he really fits the system. Frolik is such a tough decision. His hard play doesn't translate into fancy stats so it makes it hard to justify to spend the big money on him.

Haywood lived in my building and was 5'7 at best. He definitely was shorter then what they billed him as, when I met him he definitely was around 5'7 - 5'8 ish. Super wide guy though, he was like a fire hydrant.

You need to show me where in this thread I said either of those things. Here is a thing that grownups know: sometimes multiple things matter at once. I didn't suggest you said it... you brought up the tax payers garbage... so I simply replied that tax money in the states goes to the Army and tax money goes to Jails and social assistance where all 3 areas have a few bad apples who have commited cold blooded murder like this incident. So how come each of those killings are not highlighted in the news every single day? I'm not justifying what the guy did was right, I'm simply stating that he shouldn't be held in higher regard compared to a thug with a gun who kills an innocent person. Just because the guy was white and killed someone black means nothing, the fact that he killed some one in the wrong is what should be the focus. People are killed every day so just because a guy has a badge does that mean his murder is more significant then some thug who shoots down an innocent bystander in a drive by?? Mr Grownup if you were so smart you would know that more criminals kill innocent cops and also more way more innocent people each year then cops killing innocent criminals. The Jets really looked uptight and clenching on the stick tonight... also played a very soft game which was the complete opposite of what Lawless said of what they would do. Hopefully they loosen up for the play offs! So many two on ones that resulted in Stafford or whoever else holding onto the puck way to long and not even getting a shot off.

Agreed I definitely noticed a lot of wipe outs in this game.

As a programmer my advice is don't get conned into spending 1000's of dollars from local companies. A basic site should be no more then $500. Hey maybe ask Colin Unger to do it

All I have to say is who cares? Tonnes of people of all different colors kill people every day in the States. The glorification of any of these incidents are pure garbage.

But shot stats can be misleading.. How do you compare the quality of shots. So say goalie A faces forty shots from the blue line non screened and easy to stop. The defense is stout and giving the opposition nothing up close and most of the shots are simply them sliding it toward the net. Now goalie B faces only 20 shots however many of them were on break aways , screened shots, power play shots etc... Both goalies let in 3 goals... Does this make goalie A light years better? Numbers don't always tell the story...

Lol at 17 and Noeller making excuses... Edmonton just plain sucks and Nelson is only looking bright because of his predecessor was absolutely awful. Not a huge standard to do a comparison. The injury excuse is an excuse, all teams go through it. Look at how many games missed that our defense missed. Are you suggesting that Pardy, Harrison , Chairot are all light years ahead in talent then the Edmonton guys? You guys are looking at them via oiler blue shade tinted glasses. ..

In fairness Perreault , Myers and Stuart twice had some horrendous giveaways in the last 5 minutes....

Myers has more points in less then half the games he played in Buffalo and is at a +8 I believe.... the guy really has turned it around with this club. Same goes for Stafford and even Stempniak... all 3 guys are additions that really work in our system.

The point is Pavelec is the weak link. Jets right now have 4 solid lines. Pavelec is the one weighing the team down.

I don't think anyone disagrees with Pavs being underwhelming. I just don't see the point of complaining about his play when the team is giving away lots of odd man rushes and when Hutch blew his chance at being the #1 guy. Right now he is the best option. Two years from now he will be gone and Hellebuyck and Comrie will be the tandem... So until then we are stuck with him.

And then he let in 4 goals and ended the game with a .867 save percentage. Yep, Pavs is back to his usual terrible self. Glad we were able to win in spite of Pavelec, but we're not going to score 5 goals every game. Jets simply need better from their goaltending. So who do they play now then? Who do they sign in the off season?

Is Harrison an upgrade over Ellerby? Pardy at least has shown some competence over the year...
