  1. Slater will easily find a team in the NHL he's not that far gone and he's a quality face off guy.
  2. Did you actually think he'd say different? I was mostly poking fun at Mike. The article itself is kind of a farce and the title is misleading. Demski simply stated that he thought the Riders organization was good and that he's happy that his family can drive to the games and watch him play. At no point did he refer to being thrilled to be a rider. I wouldn't doubt that he will bolt in a few years to be back here!
  3. So the Sun has an article saying Demski is thrilled to be a Rider... I thought Mike said that he would despise being a rider?
  4. Literally every single UFC fighter goes into the cage with some sort of injury. Look at the Jets.... how many guys had undisclosed injuries before they were knocked out of the play offs...
  5. Well I think most of the followers were simply Asian people wanting to fit in. A whole bunch of non sports asian people that I worked with suddenly became interested in boxing and then had no clue what was going on during the fight. Hence the lame hugging excuses. The whole law suit things are ridiculous. Nearly every fighter in all combat sports go into the fights hurt.
  6. I don't know about highest rate.. Some reserves are really bad.
  7. I watched his game today and while he didn't face a lot of shots he came up with some fantastic saves. Beyak, Hnidy, Black and Errey were all giving the guy glowing praises.
  8. Interesting interview, it goes to show that anyone can be an addict and can hide it very well.
  9. I don't think it would of made a difference... the same outcome would of happened. I think they only missed out on making a rematch and another 150 million dollars each...
  10. Anyone watch the big fight? I enjoyed it and to me it played out exactly how it was expected to go. Mayweather completely out boxed him and won an easy decision. I was surprised that pacman and some sites actually had him winning? It was complete domination in my eyes...
  11. Cotton was able to get touched and not fall down instantly. That is all I remember of him lol!
  12. My section calls it the "Enstrom groan". It's the sound you hear from the crowd every time he fakes a shot and passes to a guy in a worse position. Lol I like that term! He definitely hates taking the shot?
  13. I may know someone who worked on a project with car and vest cameras and I may have seen just how expensive it costs. So while the go pro cameras may cost 500 per officer..the actual cost is way higher I'd imagine in a place like Baltimore it would be around 4 - 5 million per year which is closer to 1500 per officer... That guess is on the lower side...
  14. Its very expensive for cameras... People never think about the costs of supporting them, cost of storage, infrastructure of storage, training, upkeep etc... Very expensive to do this.
  15. People only want to watch good fights and don't care about them being bad guys. Didn't Rampage hit a pregnant lady and the lady ended up losing the kid? Yet he's still somewhat liked by the fans.
  16. And to think Nick Diaz gets an easy one year suspension for a little weed. I'm surprised they did anything since Rampage got away with doing the same thing.
  17. Had Willy played the way he did in the first 6 games for the whole season then I would of agreed.... I'd offer the guy big money with performance bonuses... I would not give him Burris money just yet.
  18. Agreed the Shuttle has been majorly convenient, I went a few times to State and Main for dinner at KP and took the shuttle to the game and it went lighting quick. The only gripe of course would be the drive back, it would be nice if they had some magical road for the buses to go without having to crawl at such a slow pace.
  19. I'm not going to lie... I preferred the Housley + Olausson line up when I used to play NHL 94... teppo had no respect...
  20. ok but what does rioting, burning cars and buildings, attacking police officers and essentially anarchy do to make things better? Im pretty sure if people stop running from cops, resisting arrest or attempting to disarm a cop then injury and death tend to stop happening... what needs to happen unfortunately is proactive solutions.. vest cameras and recording devices, better training and testing of officers for mental issues and racist views... there is no other quick fix.. no magic trick to undo the Crappy situations American police departments find themselves in.. To answer a few of the questions... Vest Cameras are much more tricky then people realize... first of all it's ridiculously expensive to implement, it's not something easy to tack on to a persons uniform and really if a cop is being malicious the camera could "malfunction" after a scuffle. Mental issues and racist views... I took a course that discussed lots of this... did you know the people who ace these tests are usually psychopaths/serial killers. Also clearly most people would lie... who is going to say "I hate colored people" and think that they will keep their jobs. The solution is very simple... it goes two ways. For Police - Need a larger budget , better training and for certain areas better candidates. For the public - Need to be normal honest hard working citizens... their's a reason why Winnipeg is so much better then say Baltimore. Much less poverty, the canadian culture is more laid back and not purely about "Getting rich or die tryin" like in the States. Long story short.... the police needs only a few things changed.... current society is just plain messed up in the States and if they want incidents like these to stop then the people need to grow up, get a job and stop being idiots. Creating "Robocops" won't stop people from stealing and killing...
