The Daley thing was a true Bomber specialty. He got the interim gig, which set up a the good ole "exhaustive search", in the off season. Never mind his horrible record with the Riders - he was in-house, cheap and real nice guy to boot. Perfect fit.

For this to happen, a whole bunch of people will have to dial up their game......

Yup, takes time to draft and get the CDN's up to speed....in the interim, we have desperately needed some top flight import OL. Massive recruitment fail. Last year we made our "big splash" to upgrade the OL Neufeld and Picard. Ouch......

Bottom line......the other CFL teams can put an halfway competent (or better) O on the field. We simply have not. Until we do, we have virtually no chance of winning games. Willy has not been good enough - he is not alone - but the buck stops at the QB. That said, even with the switch - a whole bunch of people around Nichols will have to play better, for this to work. We will see Willy back at some point. The 400k deal is - does this crush him, or does he bounce back off the floor....

All the off field initiatives, in the known world are not going to help......as long as the club keeps serving up this inept, listless, and boring product, on the field.....

Couple of weeks ago, on the other site......I made a post challenging anyone to make a list of proven and sold guys on this OL, at that particular point. I even offered bonus points for anyone to come up with more than 2. No takers. Offer still stands.

If nothing else, that game hi-lighted.... just how boring and uninspired our team is. Riders played like they desperately wanted to deliver for the home fans.

.....that can't run block to save their lives, as well. Why do we constantly dink, dunk and dump? To ease "pressure on our OL"

Might as well ask around on the street......because the officials certainly have no idea.....

Play like a last place team......and water finds its own level....

That game confirmed what most of us already knew.......our offense is utter crap.

Well, The Bombers have established a bit of a reputation. Not too many top guys want to join a tire fire, or as a QB... play with the coaches and OL's that have passed through here

Of course you have to blitz, stunt, have switches, and rotate coverage. But that good base rush from front 4 allows you to do even more things both in the front and the back.....

Lapo and Hall.....aggression personified......

2 ways to get the right guy: 1. Pay whatever it takes for proven winner. 2. Find the next top young talent coming into his own We don't spend the dough on the first and are incapable of locating the other.

You can sort of run that kind of D with a 4 man rush that crunches the pocket, regularly. We just don't have that.

We have a lot of problems and Drew Willy is only one of them.......

This team simply loses too many physical battles all over the field, on both sides of the ball. The other team pushes....and we get shoved. Add to that .....the mental aspect, where we just cannot make the key plays, at any point.......and the losing simply continues.
