I think Evan Gill eventually sees his rights traded, but not specifically because he demands a trade. He probably has the most value as a trade chip of all the guys Hamilton would be okay parting with (i.e. not Gaydosh or Laurent)

I'm hoping Matthews still have a bad taste in his mouth playing for last place team. Sometimes it's not all about the money.

Not that the yellow line is a perfect system but if it's at all accurate then the ball should have been spotted about 18 inches from the first down marker.  I thought it looked like the Bombers got a pretty stingy spot.  He was short, but not nearly the yard short they spotted him.  And as I understand the rules that spot is not challengeable - the Bombers would lose the challenge as it wasn't a first down and the rules make no provisions for placing the ball a foot and a half closer to the line to gain just to make a 3rd down attempt easier.  As I understand that rule.
 
Would I have gone for it?  Probably.  The decision becomes a lot easier if the ball is spotted correctly (thankfully there are no other reffing related complaints that we can point to),  But taking the points that give us the lead in a tightly fought game when there is under 3 minutes left on the clock?  That's never the wrong decision.  That's a decision that doesn't always pay off.

The CFL is already somewhat of a regional sport, bolstered by massive popularity in the prairies.  If you think it's in the best interests of the league to deal another blow to the fanbases in the east, I'm going to outright call you short-sighted and naive.  The only team drawing loyal interest right now is the expansion franchise.  They have 1 win and don't play very entertaining football.  How long before these very important factors take the shine off the new toy in town?  Probably right around the time the temperatures drop.  Is the corporate sponsorship and big TSN deals going to continue once all the eastern teams are officially turned into third nipples?  Nope.
