"Those spots go to guys who are questionable." Sometimes, but not always, nor even the majority of the time. For example Travis Bond was healthy and inactive for the first five weeks. "Your also saying no what we are doing is the norm, but once keeping is healthy we wont be doing it. If what we are doing is the norm why would we change that?" You're talking about two different things. Dressing six is the norm. Having six on the roster is not the norm. When Keeping is healthy, we will have seven on the roster, and continue to dress six.

On the gameday roster, yes it certainly is the norm. Overall? No... but you will see 7 on the active roster as soon as Keeping is healthy again. Regardless, having 7 on the active roster does nothing to help you on gameday if you only dress six (which every team does).

True but what do you do? Take out K. Knox for an American backup OL who in 95% of games will never see a snap? Maybe you take out a Canadian backup like Addison Richards for an additional Canadian OL but unfortunately we don't even have an extra one on the roster/practice roster. I agree it's risky but the small roster sizes make it almost necessary. Most other teams do the same.

Not true, we have never dressed an import backup OL this season and Couture has been our only Canadian backup OL all year.

Interestingly I remember before training camp I was listening to the coaches' show on CJOB and when O'Shea was asked about the O-Line he specifically mentioned Manase Foketi as being a prospect he was excited about. I'm hoping for big things out of him.

Yeah I don't get that. Are the Riders going to stop showing up to games? Boycott the league? I don't see what possible recourse the Riders would have to damage the league.

Kind of a small detail but it seems like people are confused about the 96 number. That is 96 players total, including the legitimate players. 46 on roster, 20 on injured lists, 10 on PR = 76 players. So what they are reporting is 20 players being kept around illegitimately, not 96. Still a huge number but far more believable than 96. I would fine them 10,000 for every player kept illegitimately, plus take away their first round pick next year, and make Chris Jones sit in the dunk tank during the Banjo Bowl pre-game.

Nichols is still catching up with everyone that has been playing for 6 weeks. I don't mind him getting the snaps. Don't really see any point to giving reps to Davis, he is the #3. If he ends up playing this year we're out of the playoffs anyways... If Nichols goes down, it's obviously back to Drew Willy, not Davis.
