It's really all about the season ticket base. The crowd doesn't vary much from that. When there are 26K season ticket holders, the crowds naturally are a lot better than when there are <22K like there are now. The amount of people buying tickets on a game-to-game basis is only like 3-4 thousand. It's gotta be a pretty special event such as Banjo Bowl or Milt Stegall day to get more people out. Maybe the West semi will do it, maybe not.

2007 East Semi Final - attendance 22,843 Previous home playoff game was in 2003, a 4 year wait. This time it's a 5 year wait so maybe that will be the 11,000 fan difference, I don't know. 2008 East Semi Final was not a sellout either, at 27,493. 2011 East Final had over 30K, but that year season ticket sales were at an all-time high and Swaggerville had the city invested in the team. So I guess we'll see! I'd love a sellout but I'm not counting on it.

Miz vs Ziggler should have been the main event, no question. Not sure what they were thinking with that one. Refresh my memory, what is a slingshot power bomb and did they mess it up? I can't recall. I'm not a fan of Carmella. Just not buying what she's selling. She's weak on the mic and that attempt at the moonwalk looks ridiculous. Decent submission move that she uses though. I hate the high-pitched diva-scream that she over-uses in the ring. If I had to rank Smackdown's women she would be at the bottom.

Can't say this is limited to Trump and his supporters. Some leaders of the BLM movement say the same things... violence is justified to get what they want. You can say that one side has more legitimate reasons but both have called for violence to achieve their goals.

I don't like Trump but one thing that annoyed me was that he seemed to have to debate against the moderator. Anderson Cooper wasn't so bad but Martha Raddatz was clearly very pro-Clinton and at times she was arguing with Trump rather than just steering the debate. I don't think it's right for the moderator to get involved that way.

No Mercy last night was overall pretty average but the IC Title match between Ziggler and the Miz was outstanding. Not surprising to me as I've consistently said that Ziggler and the Miz have excellent chemistry and have put on many great matches in the past, including in Winnipeg. The crowd really got behind Ziggler and exploded when he won the title. I haven't seen a crowd that excited for Ziggler in a couple years at least. This feud isn't over, I'm sure. I don't know where they go with the WWE World championship now. Dean doesn't really deserve another match and I'm not sure Cena does either. They might extend one of those feuds because I'm not sure who else you can put into the world title program with Styles right now. Maybe Randy Orton but it looks like he's still tied up with Bray Wyatt. Luke Harper came back and cost Orton the match. Becky Lynch is injured and missed the match with Alexa Bliss who fought Naomi instead and lost. I don't know how long Becky will be out but it looks like they aren't making her give up the title.

Draft picks are a 4th and a 7th in 2017. Riders get some decent assets for the future in exchange for Capiciotti who never really fit in there. There is some speculation that Fulton will retire after this season or return to Regina (he will be an FA).

I can't say I'm that surprised about Copp being sent down. He had a good finish to last year and a good camp but if you send Lowry down, realistically you are going to lose him and with Copp he does not have to clear waivers so he remains with the organization. Copp would have had to be like 200% better than Lowry but it was close enough that you have to go with the smart move from an asset management perspective. I was hoping for more out of Dano. He was in tough but I can't say he even made the decision a tough one. We'll see what happens with the goalie situation. For all Pavelec's flaws, it's always nerve-wracking to put your faith in a new starting goalie. If Hellebuyck regresses badly, it would be disastrous. But I've still got high hopes. Guys that legitimately won spots are Connor and Tanev. Both could have been sent down but played well in pre-season and secured a spot. Defence is a trouble spot. I believe we have the worst depth I've seen since year one with Jets 2.0. Pardy is available, we should get him back in the fold. Seriously, he would be a great fit with the Moose and I believe would be a better call-up option than Strait and Melchiori.
