Ottawa entered week one of the season last year without any kickers on their roster. He's just really bad at his job. Is that true? I don't remember. How can that be? You mean no punters, no field goal kickers? There is a heck of a lot of kicking in CFL. Bad kicking sets a team back. The RedBlacks had a bye for week 1. They had Brett Maher on the roster for their first game.

I have a question for someone who was at the game... What did they show on the score board with about 4 minutes left in the 3rd period that the players and fans applauding? Never mind, I've seen a couple tweets that explained it. Great to get the win especially in regulation time.

He apparently did put on more weight coming into the 2013 season.

You're assuming the Riders could have kept Hurl. You can't force a player to re-sign and you can't assume the Riders "let him walk" either. It's certainly a possibility that Hurl told the Riders to sod off so he could try to follow Richie Hall here.

But...but...but according to the media, Etienne was Lapo's pick. Or least he was when he was contributing on the field otherwise he was a Mack pick.
