  1. You guys have endured a similar suffering to the Bombers in the last decade or so. It's a nice win for you guys and your fans. I may hate Kent Austin but it was good to see you and the Ticat fans get the win.Yeah, congratulations to the Ticats. I've met a lot of Ticat fans in other stadiums and they've always been good guys. Plus, best uniforms in the CFL (aside from our blue and golds). And that boat thing was years ago, time to move on from it.Definitely rooting for them next week. Love to see them slay the red giant.
  2. Dear Paris Jackson, you probably shouldn't celebrate too much on the score that gets your team within 26.
  3. That TSN panel really needs a defensive player.
  4. Ah well, gonna root for the TiCats next week.
  5. Crompton playing slow, looking way downfield, trying to get it all back in one play.
  6. Does S.J. Green have two more TDs in him? Gotta feel for the Montreal D. Als giving up 14 points off picks, 14 points on special teams.
  7. Nice recognition on that free play from Crompton. Been a great game so far.
  8. Shouldn't there have been a facemask penalty on that reviewed play?
  9. Like how Rutley runs. Maybe an upgrade for Blue & Gold?
  10. Thank God, some actual offensive flow to this game. Let's put some frosting on this turd of a season.
  11. Nice drive. Rooting for Montreal here. I want to see my 2014 Als = 1988 Bombers prediction take the next step. Also wanna see Grigsby get exposed.
  12. Buck Pierce was tearing it up for us in early 2010. Highlight after highlight: bombs to Terrance, long TD runs on broken plays. If he somehow could have maintained that level of play and stayed on the field he would've been a Bomber legend. I hated seeing him break down, seeing how cruel the game was to him, and seeing how Mack and Burke kept turning back to him time after time. And I was happy to see the Winnipeg fans give him a standing O during his swan song with the Lions. I'll always root for the guy. Re: Grigsby, his game did evolve as he played for us. He started to minimize the backfield dancing, he started picking and hitting the right holes, but he never figured out how to survive contact. He didn't get to where I wanted him to be, but he definitely progressed. Someone was coaching him up.
  13. Is that a game you can pick up if you have never played the prior entries and be fine? Yeah, the Just Cause series doesn't have any strong continuity or character importing or other RPG elements. It's mostly just about fantastic mayhem. Re: choosing between xbone and PS4 to play sports franchises ... if you want to play multiplayer online with your friends, then get what they have. Otherwise, just pick one. I mostly play single-player games and if someone gave me my choice of a nextgen console for free I'd go with a PS4 because Sony's exclusives were way better last generation (The Last of Us, God of War III, Twisted Metal, the Uncharted series) but who knows if that's gonna keep holding true.
  14. How many active QBs in the world right now have won games as a CFL starter? It's a tiny pool of guys. Barring injury Glenn will be around for a long while yet.If Lulay is as done as everyone thinks he is, you'd figure KG is the Lions' best option to start the opening game of 2015. Remember, the last guy who cut him without having a solid replacement in the wings kinda regretted it.
  15. Watching the second season of Vikings now. Wow, those battle scenes. They're shot up close and vicious and personal and yet you always have an idea about what's happening in the battle as a whole. I wish TSN could shoot a football game like that.
  16. Oh man, i wish i could play Mass Effect all the way through again for the first time. Though ME3 is a perfect example of a game that had multiplayer shoved into it. Speaking of next-gen consoles, Just Cause 3 is the first game that really seems to justify them.
  17. It's not just contracts. Chris Garrett was as good a back as we've had here since Roberts. One Achilles injury later, he's now just the answer to a Bomber trivia question. (that question being "who scored the final touchdown in Canad Inns stadium during the first last game ever played there?")
  18. No way is Cotton a safe bet. RBs are the fruit flies of the CFL.
  19. Last year I saw a guy rocking a vintage royal blue Jim Zorn jersey. Blew my friends' minds here in Seattle when I showed them the picture.
  20. I've got a Jon Ryan jersey. Guess I should wear it though. So embarrassing - he plays for the Seahawks now. Can you imagine the indignity of having to be associated with the Seahawks? Hey, it's nice to have a team you root for win a championship now and then.
  21. S.J. Green is a free agent too? Oh man, Montreal would be super hooped if they lost him in addition to Carter.
  22. Do people wear kicker's jerseys? I don't think I've ever seen one. Maybe a Cameron vintage one now and again.
  23. Fair enough, although I'd say that the dropoff from BLM to Tate shouldn't be that big, Tate has looked good most times he's played and he'd be a starter somewhere in the CFL if he could figure out how to stay on the field. And Walters had a pretty good game, he ran for 88 yards, almost 7 yards a carry, so the Stamps definitely had a capable running game going.
  24. The guys I'd want -- Wild, Sears Jr -- are free agents. Risky. Kohlert is probably our best non-import and resigned with us despite living through the Burke years. I'd say he's a good bet to stick around for awhile and be productive. Retired player is the safest. If I got another royal blue it would be a T. Jones or a Battle but I'm old as **** and have a lot more awesome retired players to choose from. If I got my wife a jersey it would be a Cvetkovich, she has bought his calendar and loves his animal welfare work.
  25. The stat I like about Crompton is that he threw six picks in his first three games but just three picks in the eight games since (including the semifinal) The guy has cleaned up his game real nice. Whether it's the coaching making the game simpler for him or him just making better decisions, that seems like a pretty impressive turnaround. Also, Montreal beat Calgary pretty bad in the back half of the season. Their turnaround wasn't all a mirage.
