Lock of the Week 5 (results for week 4)
Screwed over a lot of people this week lol. Shut up...I'm being harrised

15 carries for 19 yards
One snag, to be precise. But yeah man, it was clutch.

It's a Win Baby!
Precisely. The bottom did fall out last week - but the team proved they could bounce back. I'm looking forward to seeing Greaves, Kelly, and hopefully Watson back in their starting roles.

Poblah was benched for Marco I believe. Rory Kohlert seems to be a tad under utilized thus far, it'd be nice if we could get him involved in the offense a little more. True - but he did have one of the key blocks on the Denmark TD.

It's a Win Baby!
Hey folks - what's with all the negative vibes today? I would say this game unfolded pretty much exactly the way it needed to if the Bombers were going to win. A smothering performance from the D combined with a workmanlike approach from the O. Well okay, BC blew several opportunities (holding on ST's really hurt them) to help our cause. I for one was not expecting the O to be very productive against the best pass D in the CFL. 250 yards through the air and some MUCH IMPROVED protection for Drew Willy is pretty darn decent Not to mention a beautifully executed hitch on the Denmark TD. Grigsby had his up and downs but play-action seemed to be effective when they used it. He was a key release valve on a couple of blitzes. The D kept Harris in check and got pressure on Glenn right from the get-go. Harris / Logan looked decent but never really did any serious damage. To me it looked like Etch was forcing BC to beat them with the pass, and quite frankly they couldn't. ST was looking good too - nice work on coverage, kicking (!), and punting.

Bombers vs Lions: GDT (For Adults)
It's going to be a tough game for the O. BC has the best pass defense in the league. I would bet they'll stack the line and force Willy to beat them with the pass.

The Restaurant thread
We tried that this spring break, was really good. If you want a really good burger, head over to The Nook. Great burger. My wife likes the noodles at that noodle place they have in the US. I can't remember the name. Olive Garden? LOL...you dork. Olive Garden? Really? You think we go to Minneapolis and eat at a restaurant we already have in Canada? WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!!?!?!?!?

Lock of the Week 5 (results for week 4)
I took Harris last week, should only have 3 strikes

Jon Cornish has setback
More like boot to the head anxiety, pretty lethal boots the cheer squads wear out west

Best Gameplan to beat BC
Seems I need another beer...

Best Gameplan to beat BC
Dude, some of those throws to Arcenaux were pretty deep

Jon Cornish has setback
Those cheerleaders can really stress a guy out.
-
Best Gameplan to beat BC
Said every team Glenn has ever beaten. Glenn ain't easy to hit, Randle on Arcenaux with safety help might work
-
Bellefuile and the Offence
Offense scored 20 points vs. Montreal. Two TD's from the D
-
Hajrullahu Vs. Renaud
Funny thing, they tried for years to find an import who could do all 3 jobs. Looks like we might have a Canadian who can

Bonus Do or Die Detailed Half Time Report
All of that aside, there were several key plays that turned this game in the Esks favour. 1. The Grigsby giveaway 2. The Feoli-Gudino drop 3. The Moore fumble 4. Several Reilly runs that should have been sacks 5. The FG that hit the upright If those plays are made, we may be talking about a win. Seriously...if 2 and 3 are both TD's...how much complaining would we be doing about MB's offensive scheme? Yes, this team needs to be better, but they will win some more games. The opportunities to win were there. This is NOT the 2013 team.

Toronto has league worst pass defence, surprised?
It's a tad early - to start the funeral parade for the Argos.

Zach Collaros has concussion and back injury
I think Walters needs to upgrade the o-line, receivers, running backs, quarterback, kicking positions, defensive line, linebackers, defensive backs and coaching staff. The feasibility of being able to make moves that make the team better in-season is what is in doubt. The hell you say. Let's trade Willy for two nationals, a guard and a tackle. Then we'll hire Joe Mack to scour the U.S. for our next QB, whom we'll protect at all costs. Yep, that oughta do it...

Comparative analysis - How bad is the Bombers OL?
Last game, I found Willy only had about 2 - 3 seconds on most passing plays. But that's just from my own mental tally.

Drew Freakin Willy
When you look at the win-loss record of teams that win the turnover battle I think it becomes clear there is a lot of truth to that. I would expect the overall level of most teams in the league to be close enough that it's the big momentum turning plays that make all the difference. An interception for a touchdown, a blocked punt, a kick return TD, these are all huge plays that flip a game around. I think this game was won almost exclusively because of big plays. 1. The D holding the Als to field goals after the punt fumbles 2. Scoring touchdowns on our two turnovers 3. The winning TD pass on THIRD DOWN

Kyle Walters Greatest Challenge
There's nothing to get.

Kyle Walters Greatest Challenge
Yes they did. I guess what should say is the quick game needs to function better. I watched parts of the game again today...on several plays quick passes to the flats when the Als brought the house would've gained good yardage. There was literally no one out there. We didn't make them pay for the blitz often enough - until we do teams will be pinning their ears back.

up off the matt!
I'm particularly impressed with the D holding teams to field goals when turnovers occur in the red zone. They seem to save their best stuff for critical situations.
