Took away the news section when the Free Press put up their pay wall. Didn't make much sense linking to articles a lot of people couldn't read. And I just felt that it wasn't worth a dedicated forum for the type of coverage the Sun was providing.
I find Twitter and 3downnation a good source for news. Ed Tait for Bomber specific news.
I've recently installed the next major version release of the forum software.
Does not seem to be anything too major in the UI part of the site. A lot of the upgrades seem to be under the hood enhancements like updates to search and the admin panel.
Depending on the browser you use, you may be seeing a javascript error at the top of the page. Hope to have that resolved in the next little while with either the version release of this theme or the installation of a new theme.
Let me know if you see any errors or experience any problems.
I wonder if the Bombers actually cut a cheque for that $1 payment for the paper trail or if Wade waltzes into the President's office once a year and tosses him a loonie.
I don't think anything was paid for the land the U of M put into the project for the stadium. I think the deal was the Bisons would get to use the stadium and facilities in exchange for the use of the land.
No idea on minor football.
They haven't come to a conclusion yet on who pays for everything. They were going to sit down after round 1 to figure that out. True North making some good cash with beer sales. Street vendors as I understand it are making the money on their own.
They also paid $1.3M to the City for an old Winnipeg Enterprises debt that was assigned to the organization in 2005 and scheduled to be paid in 2017. Still in the black, and can still add to the rainy day fund, but not as much as it initially looks.

Increase of over $2M from last year. Good job! Always good when we can make the mortgage payment.

Any guess how big this grows if the Jets continue to do well?
