Sure there is more than one position to winning a playoff game..... all I was saying is that it's not a full turn around for the Bombers,  not until they create meaningful wins in the playoffs ( more than one in a season ).... and even then a full turn around will never be true until they are holding the cup

Sure it’s not a full turn around, but I’d take this over what we had from 2012-2015. But my comments were in regard to you saying Nichols hasn’t had success in playoffs, unless you measure total success only by wins, then in that case you are correct.

I don't even know that that's necessarily true....the numbers weren't good, but I don't know that it was all on him.

Numbers weren’t good, but neither were BLM either I guess. I don’t remember too well how that game played out, other than a missed touchdown from strev to Harris and Eric Rodgers putting on a show.

3/4 of the way around.....just needs more playoff success

I would say he’s had success in the playoffs. I would also argue that 3/4 of his starts with the bombers in the playoffs have been good to really good starts. The one against Calgary he played bad no doubt. Maybe there is more to winning a playoff game than just one position???

He did okay in regular season games.....but not so much in playoff games when the intensity is raised and the pressures are on to perform and execute.  He just couldn't win the play off games enough.

I’m 2016, he went 26/40, 390 yards and 2 tds, 0 int. Lose the game 32-31. In 2017 he goes 35/48 for 371 yards with 3 tds and 0 int. Lose the game 39-32. To me that seems like pretty good numbers and indicate he was not at all the reason they lost.

So McGuire comes in today and because he's such a great thrower he overthrows Lucky on a deep shot down the sideline but last week, Streveler hits Adams in the hands on a deep shot which he drops and it's Streveler that can't throw so now we're hooped. I'm struggling with the logic in this. I saw Lawler and Whitehead each with drops today. Is that on Streveler too?

I saw Begelton and Rogers with drops today also. I guess that means Mitchell sucks too and Calgary is hooped.

    This is a bad take.

That can't be right. I'll check and report back...

Edit: it was closer than I thought, but Nichols averaged more attempts/gm to Harris than Streveler did.

Ok, well it was a few games ago I saw this stat, so it could’ve changed in the last few games.

Well Nichols tends to checkdown to harris way 2 much.. But i don't think anyone said that. Pretty sure most of us has seen this for years from Lapo.

Well then we could come back to the argument that the receivers are good and what not. I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure I saw a stat come up that strev actually throws to Harris more than Nichols

You'd think looking at what Nichols put up against the shitty teams vs Strev vs the good ones and the difference being 1 drop most games in terms of passing yards... Youd think ppl would get its not the QB.. Its the Design of the lap O.

Ya but there seems to be a bit of a bias that when Nichols doesn’t put up numbers, it’s Nichols fault, but when strev doesn’t put up numbers it’s lapos fault. Seems to be a lot of problems with this team.

I wasn't specifically referring to you, moreso to the point you were making to the poster that you were quoting. I don't think any fingers should be pointed towards essentially a rookie QB that really shouldn't be in this situation yet, I think it's more an issue that management hasn't addressed.

There is a give and take. Hard situation but also other rookie qbs have done well. While oc is bad here, strev hasn’t shown much to be confident going into playoffs.

no this website is an echo chamber. There's a mob who hates Nichols and will do anything to support Streveler yet have 0 stats to back it up!

"But Streveler rushed for 100 yards!!"

.....yeah but Mitchell almost threw for 400.

Hey look, Im on the same page that strev is not our guy. But once again, to call a guy out when he’s hurt is a bad look. But like I said take my comments as you see them.
