I thinks it’s fair to say and I haven’t seen any other practice so no nic demski but Simonise is the fastest Canadian player we’ve ever had.

    ...and he’s 6’3.

Zach Collaros got 4 votes that he will be the league MOP. What. A. Joke.
Someone voted the Als as GC favourites.
    The collective media is stupid.

Peterson and Nye are both absolute jokes that offer nothing other than a laugh. How these two can be so biased and clueless year after year is beyond words. I have no idea why 1290 brings these braindead clowns on. I immediately turn to another station. Every year they pick the Riders to finish ahead of the Bombers no matter what the circumstance. Their entire team could simultaneously tear their ACL's and Peterson would proclaim "Were going to the Cup!". I truly hope its just schtick cause if not than its just flat out embarrassing. What the hell do they put in the water in that province??

    I was there today.
Receivers that stood out in a good way were Petermann, Coney, Corey Washington, Demski and Wolitarsky. Petermann was especially impressive for what I was expecting from him. Demski beat Fenner particularly cleanly on one play. Simonise was very underwhelming with a couple of bad drops. Bowman had a few drops as well, as one would expect. Dressler dropped one but otherwise looked to be shifty as usual. Donteea Dye was noticeable in the sense that he seemed to be the one having the most trouble with the waggle.
The QBs all looked more or less mediocre today. Nichols was the best of the lot, obviously but even he had a stretch in skelly where he had about five incompletions in a row. I was hoping that Streveler would blow me away and while he didn't, he still didn't look out of place. Mahoney is easily the weakest of the four.
On defense, Brian Walker was tremendous in coverage, as was Randle. None of the new guys stood out though Bingham made a few nice plays. No INTs today but both Walker and Thomas dropped what should have been picks.
First team D had Fenner at SAM and Gaitor in Heath's old spot. Steven Clarke was SAM on the second team.

I got there today around 9:45 and stayed till the end.
Our "starting" five receivers are fun to watch: Adams, Bowman, Dressler, Demski and Wolitarsky. That is a really solid group and Wolitarsky again looked good today.
Surprise receiving star was Daniel Petermann. His speed was evident early on. He made four really nice catches, the last being in the scrimmage where he jumped up in the middle of the field to nab a high crossing throw.
Of the new QBs, Ross was a real pleasant surprise. Streveler looks the part and I was expecting him to really shine but it was Ross who stood out more. Way more arm strength than I anticipated. Had some nice deep completions in the drills.

I was just happy we'd never have to see Hurl be dead weight out there ever again.
Upgrading to a legit CFL all star makes this practically Christmas.
    Thank Jesus Muhammad Christ

I think it deserves a thread.... it's quite significant  media wise for the team and the league, locally, across Canada, and in the US.

I was there yesterday...cold in those stands. Most of the day was teaching so everything was split up
in segments on the field, e.g. linemen one area, defence another and so on.
When I first got there our drafted kicker Felix Menard-Briere was on the field by himself. He was kicking
field goals from the 55 yard line. The first 3 or 4 fell at the 5 yard line, but the rest went through the
posts easily and was very accurate. Not quite sure about his punting though. He was on the
field all practice running the end zone by himself.
There are so many receivers in camp and so many Canadians for a change, pretty much focused
on them when they were actually doing something to watch, which was not too often...but saw
a lot of potential out there, much more than some previous seasons. Notables
Donteea Dye #77 very interesting...good hands small and quick and very athletic
Tylor Henry national did not look out of place
Rashaun Simonize national #13...hmmm...big and fast, can see why he had an NFL look. Right now? not yet sold
on his hands...lots of potential there for sure, but what good is a receiver if they are not reliable?
Johnny Augustine #35, National, fast and strong, appears to have great hands out of the backfield and would
be a load on 2nd and short. Was very impressed with him. Can't believe he wasn't drafted and then Edmonton
signed him last year. Maybe something we don't know?
Tyrone Pierre national #73, is big and strong looking and appears to have good hands and is fast enough caught virtually everything thrown his way
Brendon Thera-Plamondon national also did not look out of place
Corey Washington #6 Int...Looks very good and made some nice catches. Looks like we let the right Washington go
Myles White Int #14 is really quick and has excellent hands, defensive backs would have hands full with him, sort of like a dressler type
Drew Wolitarsky #82 national...looks much improved from last year, rooting for him.
Didn't pay to much attention to the Qb's, but Strevelor is big and athletic and looks to have a quick release and strong arm. Ross looked
good as well, will be interesting who plants themselves in the #2 spot.
Also didn't pay too much attention to the D, but did see some nice interceptions and looks like there is plenty of speed. Only glad that
Sam Hurl is gone, but if the defence runs the same way as last year, only improved skill levels from the defence will save the job
    of Richie Hall.
Sorry I couldn't have done better but it was mostly a teaching practice

I feel bad for Toby.  He made a stellar D play the very sequence before he got burned for that goal.  The kind of stellar play that goes underappreciated because he doesn't play 82 anymore and get 50 pts while doing it.  But alas, the last one to change often gets the scorn the next day.  He just can't make the same plays he could 5 years ago.
Same goes for Troobs.  He got victimized on VGK first goal, but to me that's on 55 & 26 way before Trouba.  Top line played well last night, don't get me wrong.  But you can't (just can't) give up a road goal 30 secs in like that. Scheifs simply just has to get it in deep....who knows how that period would have played out if we don't start so poorly.
In general, and this is NOT directed at MBB at all.........but there's FAR too much bellyaching in this town the last few days.  This is the fu&$(%* West Final.  Teams are supposed to be good, and VGK are.  Jets win game 4, get home ice back, and take care of business.  When Jets are doubted and have back against the wall, we play our best.  Fully expect that for next game.

My name is Bud Ross and I'm Alex Ross' grandfather.
The competition for the QB backup slot at training camp will  be intense.
Here's  a brief introduction  of Alex with some history:
As a freshman at Alpharetta High school, Alpharetta, Ga.,
he led the freshman team to an undefeated season.
Coaching changes at Alpharetta, prompted him to transfer
To Buford High School, Buford, Ga.
Because of transfer rules, he couldn’t play varsity until his junior year.
He led Buford to Georgia State championships his junior and senior years.
He virtually owns the record book at Coastal Carolina University.
He thinks, lives, and breathes football.
    Happy to be on board,
    Bud Ross

It's actually pretty shameful what Durant did and I would say that about him no matter what team he did this to.
To have such a great career end with such a smudge to his character isn't a good look on the CFL as a whole.
If he wants to go out looking like a slime ball then that's his choice, but I legitimately thought he respected the CFL. It's clear he doesn't and to me that's quite sad.

    Revealing interview.
Not from Durant of course, Pederson didnt lay a glove on him, getting at the truth wasnt the purpose of the interview, but how Durant used a Rider PR and media tool to get his spin out.
If you didnt know or realize what Pederson actually is and what he represents in relation to CFL "journalism" you do now.
As for Durant... when reporters virtue signal with "heartless" managment decisions I want Durant cited as a counter balance. It'll never happen I know.

    The sky is falling!
Just kidding! I personally think Maurice got outcoached last night. Nashville gets up early then locks it down. There was no adjustment. We stuck to our game plan worse than a CFL coach when things clearly weren't working. Continuously tried carrying it in instead of hammering it into the corner. That being said, it was one game and I don't want maurice canned or anything  - he coached us to our best record ever.
If at the beginning of the year if we were told we would be in game 7 of round 2 against the presidents trophy winner we would all be ecstatic regardless of the outcome.
We can expect at least a bounce back game and effort next game and hopefully Helle is on lock, veterans push this team to be their best and our young guys respond. If that happens I think we win.

    **** them up

I used to think Nashville's "It's all your fault!" was funny/cute, but they never changed it and then it became lame.
Relying on cheap pre-game gimmicks to stir up interest, blocking out of town ticket sales?
And Subban is such a ******, Myers should've wrecked him last game instead of letting him bail.

I want Buff to set the tone in the first 5 minutes on absolutely anyone in his path

I went yesterday to the afternoon camp. Didn’t stay for too long, but have a few notes that I took down.

take it for what it’s worth
First thing I saw when they were warming up I saw Demski and Lafrance catching one handed passss. Lafrance caught every pass one handed and made it look machine like. Made me think that Lafrance might be capable of catching passes out of the backfield pretty well, kind of like Harris as a utility - jack of all trades- back.

For all the talk about Corey Washington, sure noticed that he wasn’t tracking the ball too well and dropped a couple easy passes. Seemed to settle in later in the practice but I noticed him in a bad way. Regardless, pretty big and seems to a polished route runner.

Tyler Henry made a nice catch in tight coverage. Looked fairly impressive for a Canadian option, was he in camp last year?
Coney is FAST and pretty illusive.

Tony Stevens was the most impressive of the bunch in my opinion.
sam brown got burned bad a couple of times.
thats all I noticed, sorry I don’t have more to contribute. Oh and p.s was nice to see #1 Darvin adams just being around the team. Wasn’t competing but was throwing passes to some of the receivers when they were running drills. Dude has a hell of an arm
